Sabo welcomes Israeli artist Laroz to Sol Selectas for a magical release that’s deep and intimate with emotive melodies.

Laroz also known as Laroz Camel Rider has been a regular feature on the label's Summer Sol compilations, but this time is back with his own EP that features two original tracks alongside remixes by Rodrigo Gallardo and Sam Shure.

In addition to Sol Selectas, Laroz's music can also be found on other imprints including Diynamic and Souq Records. This release takes inspiration from his love of African music, and fuses traditional ethnic rhythms with organic house beats.

Rodrigo Gallardo, formerly of the band Matanza, is a talented artist from Chile who brings the heat from his home country with the enchanting style that has previously featured on Sol Selectas alongside the likes of Underyourskin Records and Nazca.

Sam Shure is a name that many will recognise from labels such as Stil Vor Talent and Katermukke. Based in Berlin, he has an epic style of melodic house that is both innovative and eccentric.

The opening cut “Miombo” refers to the woodlands covering several portions of the South-Central African Plateau. Enchanting vocals are also presented and as breathtakingly beautiful as those forests.

Sam Shure makes his Sol Selectas debut with this remix of “Miombo” that switches focus from the melodies and instead focuses on the percussive elements. Blissed out and full of charisma, the rhythms intermingle accompanied with soaring, ethereal synths.

Track three “Massawa” is named after a port city along the shores of Eritrea and features the amazing vocals of Faytinga who is an artist from the region. The deep house chords marry perfectly with her emotional vocals, and the track transports you to a perfect sunset on the African coast.

Closing out the release is Rodrigo Gallardo’s remix of Massawa and he brings an exquisite finish to this enchanting release. Working in some acid jazz, he drops the tempo and adds in his own melody lines along with some free-flowing percussion that lifts the energy of the groove.

The artwork by Helia Jamali is a union of the lush African nature and the cultural creativity of its beautiful people.

Sabo and his label Sol Selectas once again take us on a musical trip around the world, with enchanting synth lines, psychedelic atmosphere, and tribal beats.

Focusing mainly on electronic sound, but still with some organic textures, the thirteen tracks on this special compilation range from melodic, deep house to tribal electronica.

The label welcomes new artists Aurka, Tamada, Serkan Eles, and DOMA for their debut on Sol Selectas.

They are also happy to present music from returning label favourites such as Be Svendsen, Timboletti, Guy Maayan, Ayala (IT), Golan Zocher and Choopie, Hot Oasis, PAAX Tulum, and Tuba Twooz.

Individually the artists have all made many solo achievements including music released on other labels such as Bar 25 Music, Crosstown Rebels, Cosmic Awakenings, and Kindisch.

Last year Sol Selectas launched its spring compilation 'Global Entry' which bridges the gap between the cold winter and hot summer. Warming our hearts, minds and souls with enlightening sounds, this second edition of the compilations once again welcomes in the summer months.

The songs feature heartfelt melodies, swirling arpeggios, subtle acid licks, distorted electric guitars, desert grooves, and lots of tribal percussion.

Sol Selectas embarks on its sixth annual summer voyage to present the much anticipated Summer Sol VI compilation.

Blending organic sounds and traditional instruments with electronic textures and trippy synth lines, this eclectic release spans from downtempo electronica to atmospheric deep house with a melodic groove.

Each year Sabo collects the finest tracks he can find from across the world and releases them on the day of the summer solstice, which is the year’s longest day of sunlight.

With a tight knit family built around the label, Summer Sol is also a welcoming party for many of the artists who are joining the community. Those making their Sol Selectas debut this year includes the likes of DJ Chus, Balam, La Payara, The Scumfrog, KÖNI, and Depart.

It also welcomes back familiar faces such as Dandara, Amine K, Giovanny Aparacio, Mula, Amentia, Chambord and Sabo himself as the party host.

Under the sun's rays we are all equal, regardless of skin colour, gender or sexuality, and this release is a celebration of the music that overcomes diversity to bring people together.

An artist making a welcome return to Proton Music, Eric Lune now debuts in solo guise with his "Airbag" EP. Remixes come from UK and US artists.

First appearing on Proton Music alongside Golan Zocher, the "North to South" EP marked an impressive debut for Eric Lune, accompanied by remixes from Kobana and Michael A. Already finding himself featured on the likes of Plattenbank, Juicebox Music and Sound Avenue, the Australian artist reveals a masterclass of production prowess with the immaculately crafted "Airbag". Characterised by pounding beat and sumptuous synth lines, shimmering arpeggiated sequences combine with a glissando bassline that adds a classy touch to proceedings. Building in effervescent fashion, vocal fragments swirl in circular patterns that come to the fore at the breakdown before powerful synth stabs hit the front in the second half to create a vibrant and dynamic affair.

Another returning artist sees Nick Muir needing no introduction. A global icon known for his spellbinding DJ performances as well as his work as part of the Bedrock act with John Digweed, Muir became a regular on the label of the same name. Furthermore, the UK star has over a double century of credits for the imprint while also appearing on the likes of Traum, Replug and Perspectives Digital. Returning to Proton after standout reworkings of Rick Pier O'Neil and Sebastian Sellares, the Nick Muir remix takes "Airbag" on a powerful, multi-faceted voyage that oozes class. Using a hefty kick and metronomic bassline foundation, expert use of components from Lune's original flow through the 9-minute interpretation with ease and ingenuity. Simultaneously, a swathe of new production material from the Nick Muir arsenal sees the track build in intensity with a rise and fall that comes with decades of industry know-how. An explosive dénouement in the final movement thus creates a club-friendly, hands-in-the-air' moment that is certain to fill clubs the world over.

After successful solo outings and extensive DJ performances, Mariner + Domingo have been regulars on Particles since a March 2021 debut remixing Izzet. Going on to release the "Azimuth" debut EP later that month with remixes from Juan Deminicis and Rafa'EL, a second EP in the shape of "Lose Control feat. Priest Music Productions" was another notable highlight in May. Now making their Proton Music debut the Mariner + Domingo remix is a commanding reinterpretation that revels in a dynamic percussive backdrop where emotive new melodies create a dramatic and melancholic air. Atop heavy beat, glorious new melodies gently filter into sonic range evolving in immaculate fashion as the track develops. Paying tribute to Eric Lune's original with reference to the vocal cuts and glissando bassline, the Mariner + Domingo remixer is a mastery of understated underground progressive house.

Soul of Zoo brings some classy house sounds to Wannabe A Frog Records with fresh remixes from Emorine, Urmet K and Tuba Twooz.

Lea is a majestic track with silky synth sounds and nice organic drums. They are peppered with string sounds and steamy sax motifs that really cast an exotic spell and take you to somewhere warm. Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas returns after topping the charts with their annual summer compilation with a stunning organic house release by Jo.Ke and Chambord. It also includes solo remixes from Landikhan and El Mundo, plus a collaborative rework by Chukku and Jo.Ke.

Chambord are a French duo who are no strangers to the Sol Selectas roster after featuring tracks on the label's Summer Sol compilations and also remixing a track by Ayala (IT). They have a majestic style that fuses world music influences with deep synths and flowing percussion. Chambord's music can also be found on other respected imprints such as Abracadabra Music, Kindisch, Earthly Delights and Akbal Music.

Jo.Ke is a talented vocalist and DJ who plays hybrid sets with live vocals layered over the tracks he mixes. When it comes to his vocal talents, he has added his voice to incredible music produced by the likes of Ulises and Viken Arman. Jo.Ke is best known for his top-selling collaboration with NU called "Who Loves The Sun", as it's had over 45 million plays on Spotify, and 120 Million views on YouTube.

Chukku is a German producer living in Bali who has an organic style influenced by Afro rhythms. He is an emerging talent who runs his own record label, Souta. Chukku has teamed up with Jo.Ke to provide an alternative version of the vocalist's original track.

El Mundo is a Dutch artist who for over a decade has been releasing his deep and melodic style on labels ranging from Crosstown Rebels to Get Physical. He is also a regular collaborator who has worked regularly with the likes of Satori and Zazou, but this remix showcases his exceptional solo skills.

Landikhan is a Spanish artist making his Sol Selectas debut with a mystifying remix in the trippy style of organic house that he has released via his own imprint LNDKHN, plus other respected record labels such as Café Del Mar, Stil Vor Talent and The Magic Movement.

"Quiet Times" is the solo original on this release, and it's a soothing track that combines atmospheric synths and Jo.Ke's emotive vocals with poignant piano chords and upbeat percussion. Its mid-tempo groove is underpinned by a melodic bassline, and delicate oud chords played by Issa Murad add to its overall spender.

Chukku and Jo.Ke's 'Rearrange Remix' of Quiet Times is an Afro house version with dramatic percussion. El Mundo's rework of Quiet Times works in additional percussion and his own piano melody to create an emotional version with Balearic vibes. Landikhan's remix of Quiet Times focuses on the synths to create a melodic version with added atmosphere.

The cover art by Helia Jamali captures the essence of these “Quiet Times”, a stairway into the calm solitude of a magnificent sunset.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas drops a stunning organic house release from Yamil which also features remixes by Xinobi, Angelos and Derun.

Yamil is a Sol Selectas favourite whose last EP for the label was made in collaboration with German Brigante. He has also featured tracks on numerous compilations, and this is his first solo EP for the label.

Based in Spain, Yamil's style is a fusion of dramatic percussion and mesmerising synth lines that give his tracks a compelling sound. Along with Sol Selectas, Yamil has also featured his music on other labels ranging from MoBlack to Super Flu's Monaberry.

On remix duty, Xinobi is a Portuguese artist from Lisbon whose style ranges from Indie dance to Afro house, and he delivers an exciting house rework in the style he has championed via his own imprint Discotexas.

Angelos is a rising Greek star of the Afro house scene whose sound is a fusion of heavy percussion and invigorating synth lines. This remix follows his releases on other respected labels such as Rebellion, Saved Records, Madorasindahouse and Pets Recordings.

Derun are a Turkish organic house duo who have featured on numerous Sol Selectas releases along with other imprints ranging from 3000 Grad Records to Cosmic Awakenings, and their remix is in a sun-drenched style that blends flowing percussion and enchanting melodies.

"La Flor Colorada" featuring Rosalinda de Espada is the first of three original tracks, and it opens the release with ethereal pads, and vocal chants by Rosalinda de Espada who is a legend within the folk music scene of Panama. There is also upbeat percussion that helps create a spine-tingling atmosphere.

"Naidi" is a laid-back track with a deep bassline and soothing flute combined with delicate vocal tones, poignant piano, and shuffling percussion.

Xinobi's remix of "Naidi" adds chunky percussion which gives the track a stomping Afro groove. He also makes more prominent use of the original's piano chords while adding a complementary synth with uplifting tones.

"Sanctuary" is a downtempo track with tense synths and vibrant percussion layered with mystical flutes, creating a nomadic groove with desert vibes.

Angelos' remix of "Sanctuary" lifts the tempo and adds new synths plus makes more prominent use of the traditional gembri string instrument and vocals from the original's spiritual breakdown.

Derun also remixes "Sanctuary" and their up-tempo version adds psychedelic guitar licks and fast-paced percussion to fill the track with invigorating energy.

Dutch artist Alex O'Rion's new album 'Nostalgia' blends different music styles, combining grooves, organic elements, and progressive sounds for a soulful journey with a playful nod to earlier electronic music.

Globally respected for his uplifting releases on labels spanning from Guy J's Lost & Found to Hernan Cattaneo's SUDBEAT, Alex has also shared his music through Anjunadeep, Meanwhile, Movement, and has been featured on compilations by iconic brands like Global Underground.

This album marks a natural evolution in Alex's career. Over the past 18 months, he was in the studio on an almost daily basis. Moreover, he brought the album on the road, drawing inspiration from the sights and sounds of his travels.

As a touring DJ, Alex has graced stages with headline sets across the globe, spanning from South America to Australia. The laidback warmth from these exotic destinations resonates within the immersive sound of this album.

The album is drenched in atmospheric vibes, yet retains the dance floor-focused energy that is the trademark sound of his uplifting style.

Working on the album allowed Alex to break away from his normal routines of producing bite-sized chunks of music that were released as singles or EPs, giving him the broad freedom to truly uncover the music that always resided within him.

In Alex's own words: "The album 'Nostalgia' gets its name because it reflects a sentiment that has grown stronger as I've aged. Fondly reminiscing about the music of a younger me, I often sense a certain soulfulness lacking in today's electronic music. In an attempt to explore this feeling, I went on a bit of a self-reset and a touch of reinvention. This involved changing my usual routines and adopting some old-school methods, such as sampling beats and instruments from vintage vinyl records, blending them with my current sound. The album is intended to feel personal and intimate for my listeners. I aimed to create a moment of intimacy, as if they are listening to the songs alongside me while on their way home."

The 14-track release will be available through Solis Records, Alex O'Rion's newly established record label, launched in 2023.

Solee - With a relentless arpeggiating baseline throughout, this track is clearly focusing on one thing, getting people moving. Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, once again sets off on its annual summer voyage, and presents the 9th edition of its critically acclaimed 'Summer Sol' compilation.

This year's edition features 25 tracks that orientate mainly around organic house, but it also incorporates other genres including downtempo, Afro house and melodic house/techno.

About the song :
chose to use the sound of a Loon for this song because before I was able to support myself fully as a music artist, I worked for many summers as a tree planter doing reforestation in Canada. The call of the loon is a very signature thumb print in the soundscape in many forests in Canada, I would hear their calls echoing through the trees of the forests and over the open water of lakes at sunset and through the night. I always found the sound of their calls very interesting, it's mysterious, sometimes haunting, and at the same time brings me deep inner peace. The tribal vocal sample in the song is a recording that my professor from Audio Engineering school made himself while he was living with one of the northern native tribes in Ontario, which brings another layer of connection to the land, because for those people everything in nature is scared. Working in reforestation, I was exposed first hand to the reality of what the forestry industry does to our land, how much they take without care for the wildlife. The Loon, as well as many other animals have their ecosystems and homes destroyed or put in danger every year because of deforestation, not only in Canada but around the world. My intention with this song is to bring awareness and connection to nature to the listeners, and I hope that people will have more consciousness in their consumption of not only products made from trees but everything they use in their lives, because everything is connected!

Welcome to 'The Other Side Of The Moon'. The side we don't see when we gaze longingly at the starry sky and wonder what our purpose is.

Our pilot, navigator and partner in vibes if Bona Fide, one of Belgrade's most exciting new house and techno fusioneers. Having released on the likes of Anjunadeep, Kindisch and All Day I Dream, here our astronaut primes his rockets on Do Not Sit On The Furniture. A kindred spirt, it was only a matter of time before each other's dreamy, escapist electronics came into orbit with each other. And boy, what an orbit.

Armed with just a humble piano, beats, pads and percussion, the young Serbian artist conjures maximum emotion, tension and soul with minimal ingredients. The title track takes off with a simple ivory stroke and a deep meditative groove. It seems the lunar flipside isn't as dark as Pink Floyd once told us; there's also hope, light and a calming soul. It's backed up by 'Once Upon A Sunrise' where similar motifs take us even further into the light. Hypnotic, enduring and laced with that contemplative uplift we're all seeking right now, it takes us from the moon right back to earth in a glow of solar rays.

Finally we conclude with 'Los Hijos'. Translating to 'Children', this one is all about the future and the world we pass on to the next generation. The most dramatic piece of the release, once again we're swirled in a world of pianos but with a much stronger sense of urgency. There's still a sense of hope but it's compounded by an urgency that we all need to consider right now if we want the next generation to stare at the same starry sky, too. Take care.
