Deleo is one of the few alternative rock bands on the French scene. Has Denis Navarro (founder) and multi-instrumentalist songwriter, Emi, the charismatic singer, and Felicien on the bass. They have kept from their teenage passion, the pillars of the cold wave and the taste of dark melodies spiced with dreadfully effective pop rock impulses. Over the years, their sounds have been enriched with eclectic and electric influences : Radiohead, Placebo, Pj Harvey, Archive, Interpol, and many others.

I LOVE FISH is a tribute album in the truest sense. Produced and engineered in house, Pine Barons brings its own flavor to the arrangements and compositions that comprise nine Fishmans songs.

Abrams recalls hearing Sato’s voice for the first time, noticing that “without even knowing what the lyrics were, I felt such a strong connection to the voice that sang them. It confirms to me the genuine beauty of that voice and how universal music truly is." 

“ゆらめき IN THE AIR has a haunting quality to it, lyrically and the way it moves. The first version I heard was the live performance off Otokotachi no Wakare. From this sort of cosmic meditative intro, like leaving the earth behind as you enter the upper atmosphere, out comes this creeping hypnotic pulse with bass and drums. The progression feels ahead of its time, and it blew me away. As the last Fishmans single to be released in 1998, it was an important one to include on this album. I wanted to marry the essence of the live version with the studio version, with a slight deviation from the structure. When it feels like it might come to an end, it blasts off into this other realm where you forget you’re listening to the same song.”
