Salvo Lorusso is an Author, Singer-Songwriter, Record Producer, and Music Publisher, heading Nujazz Records, an independent record label with a storied journey that began in 1999. 
Through the labels Scenario Music and Nujazz Records, he has enriched the music landscape by producing albums inspired by a wide range of genres, from electronic to drum'n'bass, from new wave to indie rock, from acid jazz to funk, from bossa nova to trip hop. His creativity encompasses composition, arrangement, and literary writing, and Salvo Lorusso has followed the artistic path of numerous Italian and international bands. 

Among his many discoveries, standout names include the Apulian group Brazilian Wax, for whom Salvo wrote both music and lyrics. Their jazz-bossa album titled "A luci spente," with Italian lyrics, was enthusiastically received by international critics, and their single "Chissà Se Un Samba" quickly entered the charts in Japan and heavy rotation on thousands of radios worldwide. Many more internationally successful productions followed, such as albums by Sicilian band Ganesh, Emilian band Estrela Guia, Swiss band Mono Deluxe, Croatian band Areia, Brazilian artist Ludmilla, and many others, including Cocktail Mood, Istanbul Café, Sinclair, Hammond Express, Circus Alekan, Oleo, Steevo & Soundshaker, Safè Noire, Phazer, and more. 

His eclectic career has involved collaborations with prominent artists, including Maurizio Vurchio, Francesco Gazzara, Fabio Orsini, Gianni Pistillo, Stefano Geniale, Michele Abruzzese, Paolo Romano, Gianni Rotondo, Steevo & Soundshaker, Alex Terlizzi, S8suono, Montefiori Cocktail, Sara Barbone, Anna Coratella, Marialuisa Capurso, Marialuisa Pistillo, Vincenzo Sgaramella, Alfredo Sette, and Michele Corcella. 

Currently, Salvo Lorusso is engaged in a fervent creative phase, involved in various artistic projects, including his highly anticipated new album under his own name, which will be preceded by two singles in 2024. Through his music and lyrics, he touches upon the wonders and anxieties of the world. 
"I am fascinated by the nature that surrounds us, an inexhaustible source of inspiration, cooperation, and love, but at the same time, I am deeply distressed by the continuous selfish and thoughtless choices of human beings. The result of these two conflicting feelings is my songs." 

His new artistic production is a sonic experience resulting from the blending of deeply layered musical influences. Salvo's voice is profound, his singing carries a strong theatrical character, his tone is visceral and enchanting to the listener, and the lyrics are direct and profound.

Il primo EP strumentale a suo nome è un lavoro decisamente electro-jazz con un sapore cinematografico dal titolo "Salvo Lorusso - Jazz For Your Mind", cinque brani ricercati, ipnotici, ormai presenti in innumerevoli playlist specializzate in tutto il mondo, L'EP che risulta essere tra i più ascoltati anche su SoundCloud, è uscito per il momento solo in formato digitale.

Salvo con il tempo ha abbracciato collaborazioni con molti artisti di rilievo, tra cui Massimo Lombardo, Gianni Pistillo, Stefano Geniale, Maurizio Vurchio, Francesco Gazzara, Fabio Orsini, Michele Abruzzese, Pino Santoniccolo, Paolo Romano, Gianni Rotondo, Stefano Ruffini, Alex Terlizzi, Raffaele D'Ercole, Checco e Kicco Montefiori, Sara Barbone, Anna Coratella, Marialuisa Capurso, Marialuisa Pistillo, Vincenzo Sgaramella, Alfredo Sette, Michele Corcella, Ferdinando Casafina, Mario Virgilio. 

Attualmente Salvo Lorusso é impegnato in una fervente fase creativa, coinvolto in diversi progetti artistici e collaborazioni, in primis è al lavoro al suo primo album cantautorale dal gusto decisamente indie avvolto da una moderna patina electro new wave. L'album sarà anticipato da due singoli in uscita nel 2024, "La Strada Giusta" feat. Pierpaolo Capovilla e "Dimmi Cosè".
 
"Sono affascinato dalla natura che mi circonda, è una fonte inesauribile di ispirazione, un esempio di cooperazione e amore, ma nel contempo sono profondamente angosciato dalle continue scelte egoistiche e sconsiderate degli esseri umani.
Il risultato di questi due sentimenti contrastanti ha dato vita alle canzoni del mio primo album."

La sua nuova produzione artistica è un'esperienza sonora intima, risultanza di commistioni con molteplici influenze musicali profondamente stratificate, la voce di Salvo é profonda, il suo cantare ha un forte carattere teatrale, il timbro é viscerale e cattura l'ascoltatore, i testi sono diretti e profondi, un viaggio emozionale unico dove la musica incarna le parole che contiene.

An internationalists radio project bringing an inside look into Afrin resistance.
