Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. 

He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave, Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in a multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media.

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore.

GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.

Dear friends, we are proud to present you the 17th DHM podcast. This time, we meet up with Ongunko from Bursa, Turkey.

Ongunko was born in a small town of Bursa in 1987. In 2007, he went to Sofia for studying.

Until 2011, the lessons he listened to during the day were entering one ear, coming out the other. But at night, while listening to the leading names of electronic msic, music did not come in from one ear and exit the other.

Although he had no training in music, he discovered that he did not hear music the way everyone else did. He did not feel it the way everyone else felt it.

Believing that music has a philosophy above all, Ongunko continues to express himself by bringing together his own favourite melodies from different cultures with dans un autre universe I Opus, Slowhouse Version, Over the Clouds Series, SlowFlashBack and Enharmonica Series.

One of his biggest dreams about music is to prepare his set consisting entirely his own tracks one day. His track trials continue and you hear it when is has been done.

DHM 17 - Ongunko

Had the great honor to close the night for @Epiphanyoslo at the wonderful  @Ingensteds, Oslo after a amazing live set from @Fehrplay (obliqe live). For me personally this set was a fantastic journey. To be able to play at such a nice venue for such wonderful people in that kind of setting was a dream come true. Was lucky to record it this time so will share it here as well. Hope you enjoy the ride:-)

Jockkie, also known as Jock, is a talented producer, DJ, and digital artist hailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands. With roots in Suriname music, jazz, R&B, and electronic music, Jockkie has been heavily influenced by the diverse sounds and styles of his hometown.

Growing up, Jockkie was deeply involved in the music culture of Rotterdam, working at clubs and performing in B2B gigs. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for melodic techno and began producing his own music.

Bio:

As a teenager, Federico found in music the correct way to express himself, and this is how he began his journey, experimenting with percussion instruments in local bands.
Soon after he got to know the electronic scene of Buenos Aires, a defining moment to start what would be his greatcareer as a dj.
He quickly found himself surrounded by vinyls & cd's.
Creating his own style in each presentation and being recognized in each dance floor as in each cabin by his colleagues.
Sharing Line up with great Djs / Producers referents of the local scene such as Mariano Mellino, Marcelo Vasami, Martin Garcia, Carlos Alfonsin, Facundo Mohr, Interaxxis, and Internationals such as Nick Warren, Dmitry Molosh, Anthony pappa, D-Nox, Uner, Roger Martinez, Uner, Lee van dowsky, Marc Popcke & Tara Brooks among others ...

Presenting his music in the best Clubs & Venues in Argentina, places with a lot of rave culture such as Pacha, Bahrein, Privilege, State Buenos Aires.
Traveling through different countries, Federico begins to conquer other cultures.
Taking his talent to Uruguay and then to Mexico with a Promising Tour in Clubs like Rioma (DF) Mescalina (Xalapa) & Mamitas (Cancun).
In constant growth begins his Tour in Europe, where he performs several presentations in the Best locations:
The Home (Barcelona) , Eden (Ibiza) w/ Nick Warren & Bora Bora (Ibiza).

He always stayed close to his studio, producing tracks that travel the world with the support of the best DJs and Producers on the world scene.
