Not Doin’ It – Doing Nothing Instead

Recently I found an old mix tape I've recorded in 1996 which always went under the nice name "The Black Tape" and is a sometimes strange combination of Ambient, UK breakbeats and other electronic stuff from back then. After listening to it for the first time after certainly more than 15 years I decided to recreate the tape digitally in its entirety with all its flaws and sometimes cheesy selection. Consequently this mix here consists only of tracks that are more than 22 years old and which mirror the somehow small selection my CD collection (and those of some friends) offered back then. This might explain why there are for example three tracks by The  Prodigy included - their second album was pretty good even in retrospect. Moby comes up four times (even three of his tracks in a row) but in it's majority the selection is a nice overview and look back at a small part of what electronic music had to offer more than 20 years ago.
