Following in the footsteps of Ondatrópica, Sidestepper, and Quantic, Nuevos Ríos offers a successful reinterpretation of Afro-Colombian music through an innovative, global lens. From the very first notes, “Sumba Ale” transports us to the lush Pacific coast of Colombia, where voices, marimba, guasá, and percussion intertwine with electric guitar, bass, and keyboards.
