Rock Division Records was founded by Deron Clark in the summer of 2012.   As a child growing up in the suburbs of NYC  Deron was surrounded by Art and Music.  He studied piano and then added trombone, tuba. Finally by middle school he moved to Drums and more percussion instruments. His older brother would take him down to the Village Gate in Greenwich Village to bare witness to the ledges of Jazz and R&B.  Tuesday nights' Open Mic sessions were a master class in improvisation, cutting edge compositions and arrangements.  Deron cites this as one of his biggest musical influences.  "I remember just being spellbound by the music I would here.  The unbelievable technical ability that was on display. People would just walk off the street, get on stage and proceed to take you beyond every boundary of creatively you had in your little head."

His music is born out of a fusion of Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, Indie Rock and Hip Hop.  Sprinkle in some Classic House music and Industrial-Trip Hop and you might just be scratching the surface of where he can go musically.  He can give you Dance tracks one minuet then go into some classic Jazz style only to end the night recording some power cord heavy Arena Rock Jam.  From a young age he was always found in the school band, orchestra, Jazz Band and a myriad of other local bands during High Schools and College  and in various bands and projects in and around Westchester and Long Island New York.

In his own words:  "My influences are broad and at times seemingly unrelated but for me music is simply universal and has no boundaries. My music is simply and extension of my life experiences. The crucible.  You could never nail me down to any one thing growing up. I'm a hard one to put in a box.  The first record I ever spun as a child was and old 45 of Steppenwolfs'  "Born to be Wild", go figure.  Then it was off to the War albums, Amad Jamal, The Beatles, The Who, Howlin' Wolf, Rolling Stones, Hendrix and so on.   Life has never been the same since and I'm fine with that. "  - he laughs 

May of 2015 saw the demise of 49 Massive which had been Deron's main project since the Spring of 2012.  If there was a complaint to be filed one could say the that 49 Massive was a combination of many smaller projects that all fell under the 49 Massive umbrella.  Very heavy, power trio tracks made way for more experimental ambient jazzy trip hop with vocals that were reminiscent of Elizabeth Frazier from the Cocteau Twins.   "I would just make up words. I had no talent for writing lyrics so I just took a page out of her playbook and starting making up words.  I want to revisit that style.  You would end up hearing what you wanted to here.  My girlfriend at the time and I were big into the Cocteau Twins so that's where all that came from."  

49 Massive were also producing a lot of dance oriented stuff that was in such a contrast to the heavy rock/blues tracks, Hybrid Hop/Rock (as Deron calls it) and Pop tunes.

"It was like Justin Timberlake meets Trouble Funk by way of Depeche Mode.  The project was all over the place. It was like a monster that got loose.  Things change in your life and you move on.  I didn't feel comfortable working under that name anymore.  49 Massive was a specific time with specific people and that's over now. This Perl Fisher project is what's going now, today."  

Deron describes himself as a musical "hack".  He plays guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and somehow can make any instrument he picks up useful for him.  "I love the studio.  Why you ask? Well the studio is very, very forgiving, (laughs) I don't pretend to be some musical guru or anything close.  I just came up around a lot of good music and gifted musicians.  I suck on a straight technically level.  I've been told that it's my enthusiasm and engineering skills that make up for a lot."  Deron seems to have found an equilibrium with the Perl Fisher Project that he didn't have with 49 Massive.

Intervention is the side/solo-project of Ben Moulin, french musician and producer living in Montpellier. Intervention was created in december 2010 in Paris, with the release of a first self-named EP. Intervention is influenced by electro, down-tempo, industrial music, post-rock, rock... Intervention release à second EP named "A Mase For Rats To Die", in 2012. Since then, Intervention explore more post-rock sounds with a fisrt EP out on 2014 June 30th (The Volunteer Army that Circles Us)... Then in 2018, Intervention release a noise-concept album made of records from 2013 : 21st Century War. Finally in 2020, a new album is out Future Is Now There. More post-rock in it, with featuring friends, and with spoken-words on each track : about emancipation, anarchism, against technologic and capitalistic slavery !
