bit of a conceptual one incoming, connecting dots of passion (note: obessesions), and following a linear of sound throughout a life so far. like loose threads of a sweater stitched in my mind from sonic moments, being gently pulled to unravel that part of why i love spooky sounds and shit like that is from growing up and going to theme parks. i’ve always been summoned first and foremost to the the simulation of being haunted in them, with the baddest rides always featuring ghouls and howls of lament, and the best coasters always being monsters to be taken by. 

my family theme park Alton Towers was particularly hooked on horror based attractions in the 90s and early 00’s, ranging from unearthed aliens discovered underground tamed by the twisted steel of the coaster, fragments of voices echoing from the woods and the undead spirits lost in them, paganistic rituals of death, or machines created by dystopian regimes to reduce you to nothing (shouts out oblivion which features in the outro, perhaps the first drum n bass tune i ever heard!).

this mix is largely composed of scores written for these attractions, and also from field recordings i took myself largely from a recent trip to Disneyland Paris (shouts out to my sisters 30th bday and the salt family). the amount of hidden corners such as stalagmite caves eroded from time to forgotten manors kept deathly alive by its remaining and never to leave residents with their own soundtracks is next level. take this as a collage of these haunted moments in sound (given a suitable lvl of fx fuckery throughout). preferably listened to at night. 

also, given an extended suite at the start and woven throughout is the soundtrack and field recordings from Phantom Manor, a masterpiece in its own right, a true storyteller beyond the visual sights, and a VIP of music within my life.

Aujourd’hui nous sommes heureux de recevoir un maître sensei des nuits du 69, digger insatiable et DJ depuis maintenant plus d'une décennie : Stakhan.

Ancien directeur artistique de notre cher et tendre club du Terminal pendant plus de 5 ans, fondateur du collectif/label Tunnel Vision et membre du roster Everybody Trance, Stakhan est devenu en quelques années un véritable pilier de la scène musicale lyonnaise. Depuis ses débuts, il partage également sa vision de la scène électronique locale (mais pas que) à travers son excellent show Planète Noire sur Lyl Radio, qu’on ne peut que vous conseiller d’aller écouter.

Puisant son inspiration dans des styles très variés, de la rave au dark dub en passant par d'autres bizarreries électroniques, Stakhan n'en est plus à son coup d'essai et aime offrir une vision brute et métaphysique de sa musique. Et il nous le prouve une fois de plus avec ce set entre early-rave et darkwave ! Un rituel chamanique qui vous mènera à la transe dans son état le plus pur. Bon appétit l’équipe 🌯

we are happy to introduce you to the 53rd edition of our podcast                     @waldmusicnyc!

Wald, formerly known as Nick Kassebaum, is a DJ / Producer based out of New York City. He is a party organizer as well as musician, and through the years has hosted and organized many successful dance music events on the east coast of the United States. Throughout his career he has released original music on New York based record labels such as Texture Records, So Tight Records and others, as well as had prominent gigs alongside well known artists. 

His primary genres can be considered organic house and techno, ambient and breakbeat, although he is largely an open format DJ and producer.

In his mix Wald leads us through a fantastic journey between numerous genres and convinces in his mix with countless moments that surprise every listener. over dreamy breaky moments that turn into dirty slow driving bass monsters which in turn end in funky house tunes. A really checked out mix that convinces in its variety! Make your own picture ;)

|Los Pashminas are two Fribourg-based enthusiasts with long experience of the nightlife scene. One is co-creator of TRNSTN RADIO, the other of the independent vinyl shop @ablette-records with his partner. United by their love of electronic music without frontiers, they have come together to enrich dancefloors with hypnotic selections, with obscure and psychedelic accents, interwoven with downtempo leftfield and progressive universes. Taking a creative approach to their work, they have already released multiple tracks and EP's since 2022. Inveterate diggers and residents of Bern's Kapitel Bollwerk club, they have a vast collection of records from which they come up with new and unique tracks that they playfully mix together, weaving together the wildest harmonic materials.
