Vanilla Gorilla returns from a celestial hiatus, reinvigorated and transformed with the creation of their 3rd album ‘Home’, to be released on 27th February. The 7 piece infuses the emotive core of blues, reggae, the ethereal essence of psych-rock, and hints of hip-hop. Their mid-January single serves as a prelude to a lush creative landscape awaiting exploration. Embracing the spirit of rebirth, Vanilla Gorilla invites all to join them in this transcendent journey through uncharted sonic territories.

Since forming in 2017 off the back of a home recording project, Mild West has grown from a traditional alt-rock group into a baroque synth orchestra that delivers dense sonic palettes over energetic beats. The band released their debut EP 'Howler' shortly after their first run of shows, and continued to develop their live performance into drawn out pseudo-medlys of their studio works. This soon led to the band picking up slots at Port Macquarie's Festival of the Sun through Triple J Unearthed, and Byron Bay Falls Festival by the end of their first year together.

The group has since added a live cellist and a second synth player to expand their sonic horizons and explore interesting combinations of neo-classical, psychedelic, and indie rock music. Mild West's second EP 'Only Sleep' puts these genre diverse elements on display, and explores themes of the gradual decay of childhood innocence. The band is constantly searching for new ways to develop their sound, and looks to consistently evolve as they work on new material.

Formed in late 2016 as an excuse to clank a few tins over distorted music, the Novocastrian Doom Quartet encapsulates a unique concoction of tone through fuzz infused guitars, screaming vocals, and fleeting moments of psychedelia. Lady Petrol is a simultaneous injection of adrenalin mixed with a calming release of serotonin in an auditory personification of schizophrenia.

Having the privilege to support the likes of Los Scallywaggs, Ruby Fields, Drunk Mums, and many more, the band are finally releasing their debut album, "Molecular Melodies". With crunchy guitar riffs, catastrophic drums, and kaleidoscopic sitar licks, the album is a diverging exploration from their first EP "From the Womb to the Tomb", and incorporates an array of influences ranging from The Beatles "Revolver" to the desert sounds of "Blues for the Red Sun" by Kyuss.

Whilst the band's name was originally inspired by a colloquial reference to cheap wine, aka lady petrol, the music and its associated art have certainly taken a life of its own, peering into the human psyche to deliver a unique take on human experiences in today’s world.
