Riva Starr has selected four tracks from a band of merry music makers for those who like it raw. Whitesquare’s ‘Sena’ is like a short, torchless walk to a headlamp-less convertible for a speed drive through imposing scenery and on unlit, narrow white line-less chicane roads.If you dare, you win. Neverdogs and Franz Costa ‘Only Girls In The Booth’ keep their vibe as light and bouncy as possible and should resonate with most pneumatic chests in dj booths these days have become accustomed. The end is nigh with ‘Omega’ a dark as blindness techno thumper that harvests souls with the sharpening and scraping sound of its rides and a slowed down Clint Eastwood most powerful handgun quote from ‘Dirty Harry’. Twisted. Leonardo Gonnelli closes the package with ‘Materi’ – a fully rounded and buoyant infinity loop that will up the kinetic energy on any dancefloor. I think you just got snatched again.

SEFF debuts on Underground Audio doing what he does best here courtesy of a new EP that’s full of killer up-tempo hues and isn’t for the feign of heart. To put it mildly: this one will positively desiccate any dancefloor its allowed to roam free on.

The aptly named ‘’Warehouse’’ gets us underway. A booming track full of brilliant high-end notes, it’ll keep you intrigued throughout. On remix duty is none other than sometime Hot Creations man, Robert James. His remix is a more curious proposition full of ample percussive textures and a groove that keeps your attention firmly locked in throughout. 

The second half of the release gets going with ‘’Liquid Nights’’,  an unconventional track that’s buoyed by a host of spiky synths and unlikely vocal snippets. The drums are pronounced too, giving it a vague techno edge that helps lend it that something extra. 12Stories’ remix is more languid and laid-back, and in the process it helps give the release an added diverse gloss. Good times aplenty on this one.

Andre Frauenstein a.k.a. Lostly is on fire at the moment, with a series of high profile releases on labels such as Outburst, Discover and Mental Asylum. By Morning opened up Sneijder’s disc of the recently released Pure Trance Vol. 5, and is only now available as a standalone Extended Mix. Layers of filtered arpeggiators and stabbed synths provide the pace and a goosebump raising keychange does the business at the breakdown. Smooth.

Brett Gould - The Drug - Playing Music EP - LR048

Daniele Di Martino now comes back with an EP that is made for long and dark nights in the small clubs. Therefore, Di Martino goes back to his roots by creating straight deep house combined with a pushing bass-line, as he does in the original version of 'Faust' - providing a result that is perfect to be played somewhere in the deepness of the night when there is no time for hesitation. The second track 'Different' comes a bit more melodic, includes vocal snippets and leaves space to breathe and feel - while the bass is as dark, it could dig an aisle in the middle of the dance-floor.

Daniele Di Martino's two tracks are reduced to the minimum - thus, they present a little less of the easiness and playfulness of his former releases - however, this is not by chance but the producer's way of expressing his development as an artist.

The third track leaves a completely different impression as it is made by techno-legend Thomas Schumacher who gave 'Faust' his personal interpretation. Since Schumacher is an expert in creating clear and straight-into-your-face techno sounds the result comes harder and even straighter than the original. It crowns the EP by leaving no space for thinking or dreaming and reflects the intention of the whole trilogy.

Following on the heels of last year's "Circuit EP", which got support from the likes of Scuba, Matthew Dear and 2000 And One, Andre Crom starts into 2017 with "Short Circuit", another offering of stripped back and highly functional dj-tools.

The title track's energetic drums are inspired by it's predecessor, but "Short Circuit" ditches "Circuit"'s vocal in favor of a mental industrial percussion-lead.

"Impedance" takes things towards a more stripped back and minimalistic route, the "randomly" syncopated drum patterns giving the track an ever-evolving feel.

Tallmen 785, a new member of the OFF-family and known from releases on Hotflush, Fiedel and his own "Tallmen Records", delivers a trippy and hypnotic underground remix.
