The next release on Black Seven Music comes from Libero and Zest Records frontman Mike Morrisey. He delivers his two-track ‘No Gas’ EP with an additional remix from label bosses, BRODYR.

Opening the release, ‘No Gas’ exhibits archetypal shards of the sonic blueprint that has made Libero and Mike so popular over the last few years. Enhanced focus on percussive constructions and rhythmic flair, candent FX and sampling, robust grooves and tough drums - it has it all.

BRODYR’s remix of the title track follows, taking things deeper and darker. Its slightly more stripped-back approach creates room for the addition of weighty melodics and driving bass that accentuate the track’s groove-led persona; a hefty vibe-setter with attention-stealing synths and atmospheric breaks.

‘Positive Melon’ brings the release to a close with uptempo gusto and more dancefloor-ready energy. Rippling percs and rolling drums bounce over the top of its roaring sub and pulsating synth injections. Another standout piece of music from Mike - firmly reminding us why he is one of the industry’s fastest-rising names.

The next release on Roush comes from London-based production duo YINGYANG (UK) & Ren Phillips. 2018 has been a big year for them, releasing on labels such as Criminal Hype, Cr2, NoExcuse Records & Lost Audio; they add Roushlabel to that list with a big two-track package of dancefloor heat with their 'Cult Fiction' EP. Kicking off the release is 'Get Down Bizzy', setting the tone with an upbeat and sturdy attitude from the outset. A rumbling bassline and strong kicks throw you headfirst into the groove, accompanied by high-energy rhythm and a catchy vocal hook. Quirky samples, massive buildups and hammer blow drops make this a no-nonsense tech weapon; hold on to your hat! The second and final track in the release 'Cult Fiction' exhibits plenty more of their signature style. Robust and rolling groove with some offbeat percussion, hints of melody and more addictive vocal chops keep you engaged (no doubt with your head bouncing along throughout).
