Iglesias heads to Revival New York to close 2021 with ‘Agony’, backed by Wheats on remix duties.
UK-based DJ and producer Iglesias has featured as a staple name on labels such as Sola, elrow and Moon Harbour since bursting onto the scene, remixing the likes of Detlef, Proudly People and Cloonee while building a reputation as a highly-respected producer amongst both pundits and his fellow peers. He now makes his first appearance on flourishing US-based imprint Revival New York as he ends 2021 with his latest single ‘Agony’ - accompanied by fellow UK hotshot Wheats on remix duties. 
Combining crisp, rolling drums with resonant, soulful vocals and playful melodies throughout, ‘Agony’ welcomes a huge peak-time effort from the bubbling Brit. In contrast, Wheats takes things darker and tougher on his remix, reinforcing the original with hefty kicks and snaking basslines to shape up the package.

Here we welcome a brand new three track EP from UK talent PAWSA on Lost Records, packed with a meaty remix from frenchman Okain.

PAWSA has made a big impact with his fulsome sounds on labels like this one, but also Relief, Deep Tech Records & Electronique. He is also a DJ of some repute with plenty of dexterous skills and a vast knowledge of house and techno which has seen him play all over the UK, Berlin, Ibiza and many other places in between.

First cut ‘The Ride’ is a bulky, skipping house cut with tough drums, cute stabs and infectious percussion. It rolls and rolls and features some emotive, twinkling keys that really sets it apart. The remix comes from Tsuba and Cadenza associate Okain, who opts for a loopy, metallic and amped up tech house cut that truly delivers.

Next up, ‘Presence’ is a more high tempo and immediate track with airy hi hats and diva vocals that really set it off. ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼This ￼￼one is a barrelling, full fat groove and is another fine weapon for DJs and dancers everywhere.

￼￼￼￼Lastly, ‘Anxious’ is a more subtle, stripped back techno cut with lo fi hits, scurrying little synth sounds and a slithering groove that really gets under your skin. A paranoid sounding vocal is the key finishing touch for this future anthem.

This EP is fresh and compelling, and is another fine landmark in the burgeoning career of this hot young producer.

The swedish duo Bambook consisting of Eiad Sayegh and Hannes Netzell was surely one of last years whizzkids of the deep house genre.

Just over a year old now the duo have captured a unique signature sound: set to expressing a distinctive mood by working with acclaimed singers, classic house percussions, and emphatic baselines that triggers the right buttons.
