'FRAGMENTED' is an EP about uncertainty, cognitive dissonance, fragmentation of identity, suffering, heartbreak, and the oft-overwhelming process of attempting to synthesize a coherent worldview or life-meaning from the various intermelding oceans of context and culture through which we swim in 2016. it was "born in a nightmare," as Open Mike Eagle might say. 

if you look closely enough, it's also probably about love and fun and peace and laughter and joy and all that good stuff. 

it's also about whatever you want it to be about, or whatever it seems to be about to you. i put a lot of me-stuff into this artifact, and i hope it gives you something.

a dead beat playing dead and bent on mending,
let the mind snap back like elastic from the stress pullin,
nails jagged, cut plastic, mulling,

and mumbling through to dawn,
i protest standing,
blinds drawn,
skin gaunt pale,
like a count of a tale,

i flaunt well though, sun make me jaunt,
quelling addlers in my minds bow,
still the mattress i haunt,

still the lattice blowin in the wind,
atmosphere is growing dim,
critters peepin through my skin,
see me cheesin off a win,

with a grin, 
i seem mighty thin these days,
beard sport a couple grays,
what i mean to say,

is as i’m gettin older with these weary shoulders,
sight is gettin bleary from the air that’s colder,
than it used to be, i’m nearly fuller,
stress builds up without that solar,
let it rest on me and let this stupid soul go smoulder,

before it gets the best of me,
it’s weighing pretty heavily,
used to be you lift it with a simple tenner piece,
i used to be a better bee,
