Cruising along through the vistas of electronic music, Alfa Romero return to the fray once again. The trunk is fully loaded with more modern, refreshing and up front house music and the disco ball continues to swing from the rearview mirror. Destination remains unknown.
Having impressed with his remix on the inaugural Alfa Romero release, burgeoning Mexican producer Betoko is back to head up this release with his excellent original, “Dark Side of My Mind”. Italian maestro Leon provides the remix this time, taking the track down a different but equally rewarding route.
Betoko has already garnered a reputation for producing a distinctive sound, a trait which he summons with ease again right from the start of “Dark Side of My Mind”. The highly rated producer cleverly uses a subtle melody to create and airy atmosphere and laidback aesthetic whilst at the same time creating real drive from the track using underlying swirling bass and purposeful rhythms. The result is a mood that is at once calm and energized, allowing the listener to float into a dream-like state whilst still locked onto the dancefloor.
Italian producer Leon finds a more intense tone with his remix, allowing the grumbling bassline to come to the fore and drive the track as a whole. Skipping percussion provides dynamic rhythms which when added to the thumping 4/4s creates an intoxicating and mesmeric bottom end.

As for the first release the promo video was directed by Vito Di Rosa.
The eye-popping artwork on the release is provided by Massimo Pasca.

Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, starting with this first instalment of the anniversary series called Four Jacks.

Following the winning format of the series thus far, Part 4 boasts two slamming new remixes of classics from the vault, and two brand spanking new tracks from Poker Flat's stellar roster. 

Trentemøller's electro touchstone 'Always Something Better' now draws the attention of DJ Tennis and Mind Against, who keep it slow and suspenseful with an intricate and modern deep house makeover. 

Chardronnet vs. Afrilounge's 'Shake It' was a defining moment of minimal tech in 2005, and Ejeca modernises it with a full-bodied treatment of peaktime melodic techno. The finale offering of new tracks created to mark the anniversary come from John Tejada & Justin Maxwell and Kindimmer; the former reach for vintage boompty house and noodly acid on 'All We Know', while the latter opts for delicately minimalist deep house construction for the chiming, gleaming 'Tremor'.

With all four of Poker Flat's Four Jacks now been revealed, the label has played its winning hand once again, demonstrating just how they have stayed at the top of their game at 15 years deep.

According to your favorite dictionary, Synergy is the creation of a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. It also happens to be the beating heart behind Three Machines, a passion project that brings together Tarek Majdalani and Sleiman Damien, two of the most celebrated producers and DJs in the Middle East.

One is a veteran of sorts, a driving force that has pioneered the rise of Beirut’s pulsating nightlife and music industry, leaving his mark on the airwaves and on the dance floors, playing the biggest venues in the region and sharing the stage with numerous international acts.

The other is a product of scientific malpractice and classified government mischief, with more major credits and events under his belt than should be allowed by state law for someone who has only recently reached voting age.

The unlikely twosome got together under otherwise normal conditions, through business arrangements and mutual acquaintances. In hindsight, it is absolutely safe to say that the first meeting only happened because the universe got bored with itself and a nuclear disaster seemed like overkill at the time.

Together, they relentlessly churn out intricate systems of sounds that would feel right at home in obscure basements, majestic cathedrals and colossal open spaces alike.

Their music is a soundtrack to the cosmos, an ode to the infinitely small, a celebration of the infinitely big, a study of human nature and all of its complex, beautiful imperfections. Most importantly, it does not conform to any pre-defined genre classification.

Classically trained but forward-thinking, enlightened but progressive, the two gears that keep Three Machines running vow to use and abuse the medium, then move on to its hot cousin
