El Mundo and Flowers on Monday debut on Sirin Music with ¨Silent Words¨. El Mundo has been a part of the electronic music scene for around two decades playing music, producing his own and even launching a record label “Quetame”. And teaming up with a hotly-anticipated German duo Flowers on Monday worked great for him again. Their music with a soothing foundation and a magical finish - one that implements our appreciation for the little things, which imprint themselves in our heart and memory. Built out of electronica with organic roots, in the form of live instruments and vocals, this project transfers the listener to forgotten places.

"Silent Words" has that special Berlin feeling”, Flowers on Monday say. “Would be a great opening track at an underground club there. "WHite Wings" is that perfect fragile B-side on the EP which lets you dream away”. Two original tracks plus two remixes. One by already a part of Sirin Music family — Raw Main. And another is debut on the label by Erdi Irmak who started his career in a cross-cultural Istanbul with releases on XYZ, Where The Heart Is, Tale + Tone, The Soundgarden, Hoomidaas and many others.

Launching their Meanwhile Horizons imprint with suitable flair in August 2021 with “Beyond The Horizon”. Initially through a quartet of sparkling tracks, GMJ & Matter return to the series with a second edition. Seven new pieces now showcase the talents of established and newcomers alike within “Beyond The Horizon Volume 2”.

Fresh from his “We Are One” EP for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Zankee Gulati opens the compilation with the atmospheric “The Magic Spoon”. Redolent in rolling percussive groove and thickly textured pads, a rippling arpeggio paves the way for a laconic lead synth to meander across the 9-minute piece, taking centre stage at the breakdown. Typically deep and brooding, Meanwhile regular, Imran Khan, highlights a raft of production magic within “Serenity”. Immaculately woven sonic patterns meander across the aptly named track as modulated pads and layered sequences mingle deliciously together. A heavy beat and regular off-beat percussion add to the trademark mesmerising vibe.

Following up on September 2022’s “Space Walk” EP, Covsky joins forces with newcomer, Frais, as the pair hit the ground running with “Sands of Time”. Full of emotion, a wonderful sub-bass groove creates a flawless foundation for a suite of elegant melodic layers to weave an imaginative sonic picture, reaching a rousing crescendo at the mid-point before bursting into life in the second half. A Horizons debutant, Federico Puentes, paints an evocative aural landscape as “Autumn Leaves” delivers a meticulous percussive framework within which smooth motifs and breathy vocal counterweight, flow in repeated patterns. Pausing for breath to let the melodic elements shine, the second half continues to paint the vivid melodic patterns of earlier movements.

Another Meanwhile first-timer with releases on Mango Alley, The Soundgarden and Keyfound, Billka makes a powerful impression with his delicate “Promises”. A repeated bassline and synth motif belies its simplicity as emotion is built midway via sublime vocal sequences. Coupled with deep kick and light percussive air, the track flourishes to a masterful sonic conclusion. UK producer, Fabreeka, has witnessed an impressive rise to prominence since a 2019 debut for Mistique Music, and his “Dream Path” is full of innovative motifs that blend together to create the perfect symbiotic whole. Through strong rhythm and rolling hi-hat groove, the track reaches its zenith in the third movement to striking effect.

The final track sees GMJ return to familiar ground with his Qiam alter-ego. Making his debut on “Beyond the Horizon”, “Light Recall” is a masterfully produced ambient piece that glistens with sonic stardust. Deliciously textured pads modulate across the left/right spectrum, while discordant analogue synth patterns play out in pitched delays before powerful bassline and vocal effects lift the track through its latter stages. Intelligently imagined, a raft of layers delivers intrigue and innovation in equal measure.

A welcome returnee to the Proton Music fold, Savvas Karabinos, has been a regular on the flagship label since a 2019 debut remixing Turkish star, Erdi Irmak. Two further remixes for Rick Pier ONeil followed in 2020 and 2021 before a debut original EP appeared in the shape of February 2022s 3-track Reminisce including remixes from RIGOONI and Vridian. A second EP followed a year later with Crescent Moon as another trio of powerful original tracks were paired with remixes from Juan Deminicis and Andrea Cassino. Now returning with another musical triptych, Craving Spaces is redolent in the rich sonic landscapes of textured pads and dreamy melodic passages. Underpinned by a heavy beat and huge sub-bassline, haunting motifs sit atop creating an air of elegant juxtaposition against the hypnotic rhythm. As the seasons shift from late summer to another Northern Hemisphere autumn, Falling Leaves enthrals with its subtle melancholy of light melodic touches following the narrative of its predecessor. Immaculately cadenced synths are used to develop a swathe of cascading musical ideas while textured pads create a vivid sonic landscape. A driving beat and ticking percussive hi-hats add to the picture in another moment of rare beauty. The final track sees We Are immediately carry on the mantle of driving rhythmic force combined with perfectly placed deep house chords and floating chord progressions that swim across the stereo spectrum. The delayed vocal effects and vibrant arpeggio of a post-breakdown second half creates a dynamic and powerful track. An Australian artist with an impressive reputation within the underground dance fraternity, Patrick Carrera has been at the vanguard of progressive, organic and deep house sounds for over a decade. Through his MUUI moniker, over 500 production credits thus chart a path across such esteemed imprints as Sudbeat Music, Global Underground and Eelke Kleins Outside The Box, plus a further 300 credits on his own Here Now. A trio of remixes for Proton Music dating back to 2014 and a reworking of Kobana, have seen subsequent rerubs of Imran Khan and Mark Slee in 2019 and 2020 as MUUI returns for the first time in over 4 years. Reimagining Falling Leaves, MUUIs skill is create a silky-smooth version that retains the laid-back melodic groove of the original while creating a rhythmic foundation that retreats elegantly into the mix in the early phases, while a deep and resonant kick drives the track forwards. Making full use of Savvas original components a raft of additional production evolves in the second half including a sumptuous twinkling arpeggio and vocal touches, creating a triumphant remix. Based in the capital of the Ontario province, Beije have carved out an impressive niche from their Toronto home. Able to point to a double century of production credits on the likes of Harabe, Café De Anatolia and The Purr, a pair of Proton Music remixes for Juan Deminicis and Lisandro in 2022, paved the way for 2024s remarkable Ardere EP in August 2024. The 3-track original EP was chock-full of masterful production technique and trademark melodic touch, showcasing the Canadian pairs inimitable style and craft. Now returning for a third remix, Beije have captured a delicate dancefloor groove with the muted and cadenced chords that fill the melodic spaces of the original. Moreover, the addition of diaphanous and free-flowing piano phrasing at the mind-point and through the third movement adds a subtle and delicate touch to proceedings, completed further by subtle vocal effects. The result is another stunning Beije production. With the addition of immaculate remixes from MUUI and Beije, Savvas has found that Craving Spaces is the perfect way to showcase a trio of exceptional new original works. The title track receives outstanding reworks from label regulars Missfeat (France) and our Canadian A&R talent Joca, each adding their unique touch. Meanwhile, the track Signs and Wonders gets a stellar remix treatment from Dutch producer Nick van Gils and Uruguay's Ghume, who makes a strong debut on the label with this release.
