We are proud and happy to present the first release by our Cologne buddy ZIGGY KINDER. Since many years Ziggy is a close friend and has impressed with his work on labels like WARE and TIEFSCHWARZ’ imprint SOUVENIR. "FAVELA" is the generally used term for a shanty town in Brasil. Ziggy has recorded the vocals originally with Aline de Magalhaes during his Brasil-trip. This house-tune has been tested succesfully on the dancefloor and comes with great remixes by Soukie & Windish from Hamburg. The digital release also includes a remix by Deep Data mastermind René Breitbarth from Berlin.

3 QUESTIONS to MARTIN WASLEWSKI:

Q: Tell us about your mix – how did these tracks influence your career?

A: I was a Hip Hop DJ in my early career so I decided to put some tracks in the mix that influenced me the most in my first years. The other 45 min are my electronical early backround. Some tunes that I played and loved the most when I started my career in House/Techno business.

Q: Recently you´ve been to Canada and the US. What´s the difference to partys in Europe, what do you think?

A: Even every country in europe is totally different. Each country got it´s own party style. It was not so much different to placed that I´ve played before but I love to play in countries where the people dont get the chance to party every weekend. So they are often more hungry for my music! Like in Canada.

Q: Which Waslewski releases are coming soon?

A: Actually I got a track called "Reilstreet" together with Ole Biege that was coming out Exploited just 2 weeks ago. There is no new release scheduled yet.

Viele Jahre wandere ich nun schon als einsamer Abenteurer durch die Wildnis. Immer auf der Suche nach meiner Bestimmung. Mit der Sonne als Taktgeber für meine Reise ins Unbekannte durchstreifte ich Berge und Täler, Flüsse und Seen, Wälder und Steppen. Die Ruhe verleitete mich zum jetzigen Leben und die Weisheit der Natur bewegte mich zum Bleiben. Hier Draußen konnte ich erfahren was Schönheit bedeutet, aber auch wie brutal das Leben sein kann. Meine Umgebung lehrte mich wachsam zu bleiben, was mir die Augen öffnete. Nun nehme ich Dinge wahr, die jenseits der Normalität liegen. Einzelne unscheinbare Geräusche können mir nun mehr Geborgenheit vermitteln als ein stundenlanges Gespräch unter Freunden. Mein Verstand ist mit Flora und Fauna im Einklang. Ein blindes Verständnis entwickelte sich, geleitet über Gesten statt über Wörter. 

So konnte ich viel über mich und meine Umwelt lernen und mit mir ins Reine kommen. Glücksgefühle durchströmen nun regelmäßiger meine Nervenstränge und erweichen hier und da meine versteinerte Miene. Doch das Gefühl der Einsamkeit schleicht sich wieder in mein Herz. Gerade an Tagen wie diesen… Ich erhebe meinen Flachmann und trinke auf ein weiteres Jahr als „lone ranger“.
