Formed in a little cabin in the Catskills just north of NYC in the winter of 2011, Los Thujones (THEw-HO-NEZ) is a group of musicians devoted to the idea that music should be fun and real.  Their sound harkens back to times when music was played by musicians sitting together in one room in one moment.  Featuring odd arrangements of ukuleles, mandolins, upright basses, trombones, harmonicas, over crazy beats...  Ska, reggae, folk, neo folk, or whatever you want to call them...  Los Thujones play with a gusto, intelligence, and passion so absent in the music of today and their live shows are not to be missed.  Check it out. The name refers to Thujone, the chemical in absynthe that was falsely thought to have a psychoactive affect on humans and therefore deemed illegal.  It is still illegal to this day for no good reason at all - like so many different things in our topsy-turvy modern world.  

The Weavils are a Seattle based Bluegrass/Americana band. Not happy with a single genre our set includes Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Cajun, and even a few Hawaiin tunes. We do a mix of covers and original music.
