Bringing our DECENNIUM series to a worthy finale, is our co-founder and longstanding resident, Michael Silmon aka Kodah.

From our inception in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010, and since our London journey began in 2012, @kodah has gained a reputation for his impeccable curation and has frequently brought the most cutting-edge lineups to some of the best club venues in London, most notably @foldldn where a strong family bond has been formed, and where he has found his true, spiritual home in London, both as an external promoter / curator, but also now as a resident DJ. Kodah has always maintained an uncompromising adherence to our firm policy of underground electronic music, bridging the heavier spectrum of Techno, Electro, Acid, etc. with new style and form, whilst always paying homage and striving to immortalise the traditional and original roots from which we have grown.

Kodah brings the same wide-ranging musical knowledge and passion for warped, hard-hitting electronics to his productions and he is now firmly cementing his status in the London underground. Recent years have seen Kodah play amongst heavyweights in the Techno and Electro scenes, that include; The Advent, Regis, The Fear Ratio, Speedy J, Kamikaze Space Programme, Claro Intelecto, Conforce, The Exaltics, Scan 7, Developer, DJ Skull, Sterac, E.R.P. & many more.

For this exclusive DECENNIUM mix, Kodah did what he does best and what himself and Natural Selection have gained notoriety for; meticulously and successfully weaving together diverse Electronic forms, some of which would not normally be attempted. As usual the result is a unique and radiant journey of sound, which captivated us for it’s entirety.

BIO:
DREN came into being in early 2018 as a creative outlet for the duo Natt and Akton, who are producers/DJs hailing from Tri City in northern Poland. They started their collaboration based on a shared fascination with black metal and jazz music and this eclectic taste is ever present in their productions, DJ sets and podcasts. First months of 2019 will bring „time & form” - DREN's debut album, which will be released on both physical (LP/CD) and digital formats courtesy of Gdansk's industrial/ritual/dark ambient label Zoharum.

BIO:
Grebenstein is a musician, dj and graphic designer living in Kassel, Germany.
After playing in several bands as a drummer and guitarist he made his solo-debut with a 4-track EP Grebenstein on Downwards Records in November 2014. The follow-up to the debut was Strong Proud Stupid and Superior on Downwards, the mini LP featuring 'highly stylish, unrepentant brace of drum 'n synth noise pressure.' In 2017, Grebenstein released Gloss EP on SAMURAI Horo. His latest release was an EP called „raging tender“ together with Seefried on Downwards Records.

The tenth mix comes from the Chicago based DJ and producer Jana Rush. An hour of energetic footwork and juke from one of the best.

By day Jana Rush works as a chemical engineer at an oil refinery and at night she works as a Cat Scan Technologist assisting doctors in pathology detection using CT scans. Jana also has a background as a paramedic/firefighter. 

Chicago born and raised, Jana Rush started DJing at the tender age of ten and started producing just three years later. She is influenced by Robert Armani, Lester Fitzpatrick, Cajmere, DJ Milton and DJ Deeon, the latter of whom she released with on Dance Mania in 1996 as “DJ Deeon Presents The Youngest Female DJ”. 

Whilst DJing in the early 90s at WKKC Jana gained friendship with DJ Rashad, Gant-Man and Nehpets and has been a regular at juke and footwork events in Chicago. 

After taking a break from music, Rush re-entered the scene with 2016's MPC 7635 EP, released on Objects Ltd., receiving attention for her mind-bending drum acrobatics. She then kicked off Objects Limited’s 2017 year with her debut release, Pariah, an album rooted in Chicago's footwork sound but with a myriad of other influences, including as jungle, acid, soul, jazz, and house.

For this 52th Premiere of 2021 and the 500th TL Premiere, we have a self-released track from the Yorkshire based music producer "TECHcontrol" (aka Darren Holmes) entitled ‘Inoculation’.

As he had published the very first TL Premiere on December 6, 2018, it was only natural that we invited him to celebrate this 500th TL Premiere with a fantastic  new track unreleased and free to download from SoundCloud.
