[BIO]:
Mario always had a strong passion for the basement proof, bass driven facet of Techno. Born and raised in Potsdam, a town at the gates of Berlin, it was quite obvious that he got bit by the local Techno bug sooner or later. After early visits at the old Tresor club, inspired by the harsh, experimental sound and the pure atmosphere he soon started to dig deeper in the thing called Techno and sustainably found Hard Wax as the main educator in taste which helped him to define his own identity. His DJ sets are a blend of major infuences from artists like James Ruskin, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood or Planetary Assault Systems and labels like Underground Resistance, Downwards, Basic Channel and Tresor Records. Successively he developed his DJ style and began playing at smaller events in his hometown. It was Alexander Kowalski who invited him to play at Tresor for the first time. After playing at the “New faces” and “Tresor.Next” event series he was appointed to the resident team of Tresor. As an integral part of the team Mario is also one of the curators of the “New faces” nights for quite a while now, where he is inviting young emerging artists that share the identical idea of Techno with the same splice of understatement. Mario has released music on various labels, such as Mord Records and Konsequent. His solo ep “Field Dominance“ was released on the Berlin based label KONFLKT .

Lost In Ether | Origin Series | Impakt

He’s been into music forever but only when he turned 17 and ended up at a legendary Tresor party at Eskulap club he fell in love with electronic music. Soon afterwards, he heard tracks by the supergroup Bad Company and this is how his still ongoing romance with techno and dnb started. He can’t decide which genre he wants to play so he does both in two different crews, Technokracja and DrumObsession, with whom he’s organized dozens of parties in clubs such as Projekt LAB, Schron and Dom Technika. He has fulfilled a huge part of his musical dreams and played next to artists who are the most inspiring to him. He’s played in many Polish clubs. In the past, he was involved in Cafe Miesna club in Poznan.
In his sets he hates boredom, routine and repetitive schemes, that’s why he always blends styles, ruffles and breaks things up. He tries to cross sections and mix quickly. Like he says, it doesn’t have to be easy and pleasant all the time or hard and heavy - it has to be interesting and surprising!

The fourth edition of SHDW’s flagship ‘Federation Of Rytm’ VA series has been carefully curated by the DJ/ producer and head honcho over more than a year, with close attention to detail given to sequencing. It is a balance of label regulars and debutants that represents the past, present, and future, both sonically and through the generational diversity of the artists involved. There are plenty of surprises along the way while always remaining true to the Mutual Rytm ethos and reflecting the journey of the night from start to finish, whether that's in intimate, sweaty clubs or on big festival stages.

"I’ve lived with most of these tracks for over a year, testing them on the dancefloor and fine-tuning the selection. Each comes from artists I deeply admire, making this compilation a snapshot of the label’s evolution and a glimpse of what’s next. ‘Federation Of Rytm IV’ celebrates connection across generations, while capturing the sounds that inspire me most — telling a story from start to finish.” – SHDW.

Across 30 tracks in the digital collection and 24 on four sides of wax, the release explores the full breadth of the Mutual Rytm sound. Driving grooves and relentless percussion set the pace, gradually unfolding into hypnotic and atmospheric passages that invite deeper immersion. Pulsating low-end power alternates with eerie minimalism, while bursts of futuristic energy and cavernous kick drums keep the tension high. Elsewhere, dub textures and moments of introspection provide balance, creating a narrative arc that moves fluidly between intensity and release, atmosphere and tension, darkness and light.

The 17th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Techno heavyweight @oliverrosemann (MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip).

Based in Leipzig, Germany and an important, regular feature in the Berlin circuit, Oliver has been consistently releasing high quality Techno in it's purest form since around 2007, on reputable labels such as MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip, Diffuse Reality and more. 

Oliver's journey into DJing and production began in the mid 90's and he is heavily influenced by dark, straight, driven, hypnotic Techno, which was circulating with force around this time. He has performed on stages all around Europe, where his gripping and energetic DJ and live sets have gained a solid reputation and have cemented his status as a legend in the underground Techno world.

It is a huge honour to have Oliver form part of our DECENNIUM series and we hope you enjoy this innovative journey of a DJ set, recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.

DECENNIUM - Oliver Rosemann (MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip)

Born and breed in Santander (North of Spain) P.E.A.R.L. is a artist based in Berlin.
Owner of Falling Ethics Records first as an outlet for his own productions and lately opening the doors to other creators like Dimi Angelis or The Transhumans. Celebrating in February 2017 his 10th vinyl release.
As a performer he is a solid live act and also an excellent selector in the dj booth, combining the pulse of aggressive beats with mental, ambiental and experimental flavors.
