My next guest on Yax Invites is idalia.

Born and raised in New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, swampy landscapes & a vibrant nightlife, which enabled her to be the artist she is today. Being constantly exposed to music since the very beginning, she was inspired immensely to dig deeply to discover different genres, including techno. 

With both brothers as musicians, Idalia tapped into her own creativity with collecting vinyl and finding her own path. Her performances are demanding while taking her crowd on a journey of hypnotic, hard dance techno with tasteful blends of different genres of techno, she can leave a dance floor constantly moving and enchanted.

This mix captures different soundscapes in the realm of techno and "I wanted to blend different styles & moods together which go hand in hand with the months leading up to my relocation in Detroit".

Dianthe is a Siberia-born, USA West Coast-raised techno producer and DJ. 
Having been a musician from a very young age with classical piano, music was always a big part of her life. She experimented with melodic techno for several years before solidifying her sound in the deep/hypnotic techno genre. 
Dianthe had a promising start with her project when she released her first single “Mayhem City” on NODE (Barcelona), as well as her first full-length EP on DORIAN with remixes from Dorian and Isabel Soto. 
Dianthe holds residencies at several clubs on the West Coast of the United States, and played multiple stages at Burning Man Festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. 
Her vision is to share her dark, cinematic, atmospheric sound while connecting with ecstatic dance floors across the globe.

We first discovered Fernie (Intersum, Dosis Records, Space Textures, Eram-Records) when our friends over at Temple Recordings invited him to contribute to their podcast series, and what a happy discovery it was. For us, the Glaswegian born DJ and producer is keeping deep, atmospheric techno alive in the best possible way, honouring the heart of soul of what makes it so special, as illustrated through his creative endeavours as an artist, and through his Space Textures imprint. 

Deeper electronic music has always tugged on our heart strings - an emotional, energetic pull that points to nothing less than a deep soul connection that goes far beyond any words can attempt to express. But then again, who needs words when we have the music, and we only have to immerse ourselves in a Fernie mix to feel that familiar feeling stirred within, with atmospheric soundscapes, deep grooves and hypnotic percussions leading the way, woven together with infinite care and control. 

We are therefore super happy to bring you a 2.5 hour journey courtesy of the man himself - the perfect opportunity to surrender yourself to the deeper spheres of electronic music in all its warmth and beauty, for which Fernie is swiftly making a name for himself.

BIO:
One of the most characteristic and experienced Dj’s in Poland. Born, raised and living in center of Warsaw. He began his active interest in electronic dance music by visiting the cult club Filtry, and quickly (from 1993) started to perform as a dj (then as DJ MIC) on legendary parties in clubs Alfa, Hybrydy and Trend. In 1995 he travels to Berlin to buy vinyl records for the first time. Inspiration from that city has a major influence on the course of his further musician path.
Since then he performed regularly in every major Warsaw clubs and places connected with spontaneous and uncontrolled dance. 
Beside playing in Warsaw, he often and regularly was invited to perform in the best clubs and festivals acros Poland. 
He has also played abroad Poland on the Boomerang festival in Bratislava in Slovakia, took part in Red Bull Academy in Dublin in 2000 and played on the Techno Parade in Paris, in Berlin Kreuzberg and in underground places of London’s Shoreditch.
Mic played with most of the top Polish dj’s and supported many international dj’s like: Jeff Mills, Miss Kittin, Dave Clarke, Dj Koze, Tiga, Daniel Bell, G-Man, Robag Wruhme, Ivan Smagghe, Pacou, DJ Hell, Magda, Oliver Ho, Funk D'Void, Mike Grant, Regis, Simian Mobile Disco, Lee Van Dowski, The Hacker, Mario Neugebauer, Damon Wild, Cosmin TRG, Highfish, Tiefschwarz, Ada, Mike Dehnert, Zombie Nation, Redshape, Dave The Hustler, Tobi Neumann, Fillipo "Naughty" Moscatello, Joel Mull, Agoria, L.A. Besides playing, Mic supported the scene with articles and reviews for magazines like Plastik, Techno Party, Kaktus, Laif, Fluid or Aktivist.  When Mic plays, he likes to surprise and energize the public. He doesn’t limit himself to particular style by choosing the most interesting dance tracks from many music styles (techno, electro, acid house, electronic body music, minimal, dance punk rock, neo disco and other dance music hybrids). He uses them to express the most wide range of human emotions, invariably taking care of moving the dancefloor. His head, mind, body and soul are always on the pulse of the beat.

Daniel Avery - Electronic Explorations #373

Your Grace Adrianna Natalie is New York born, but a world traveler. She was raised by a family that enjoyed and listened to a lot of music during her upbringing. She has been influenced by music since her youth, making mix tapes in her bedroom with her mom’s recorder. While growing up, she played the clarinet and bells. She was part of a choir and performed in clubs as a singer/rapper. She listened to electronic music for many years, but it wasn’t until the age of 18 that she got to experience the NYC scene. She spent time in friends studios, dabbled with their equipment, but it wasn’t until 2012 that she discovered a new world of creations and began producing her own music. A few years later, she’s now a bright up-and-coming producer and a live performer oscillating between experimental, noise, techno, and acid beats. Production wise, a lot of great things are coming up soon for her. She will be releasing her first EP on Alrealon Musique soon,

Jeden z najbardziej charakterystycznych didzejow w Polsce. Urodzil sie, wychowal i mieszka w centrum Warszawy. Aktywne zainteresowanie elektroniczna muzyka taneczna rozpoczal od wizyt w kultowych Filtrach, po czym szybko przeszedl do wystepow w roli didzeja (jeszcze jako DJ MIC) na legendarnych imprezach w Alfie, Hybrydach i Trendzie. W roku 1995 pierwszy raz wyjezdza po zakup plyt winylowych do Berlina. Inspiracja tym miastem ma duzy wplyw na przebieg jego dalszej sciezki muzycznej. Od tamtej pory regularnie wystepuje we wszystkich wazniejszych warszawskich klubach i miejscach zwiazanych ze spontanicznym i niekontrolowanym tancem.

Ma za soba rowniez zagraniczne wizyty uczestniczac m.in. w festiwalu Boomerang w Bratyslawie na Slowacji, biorac udzial w Red Bull Music Academy 2000 w irlandzkim Dublinie oraz grajac na Techno Parade w Paryzu w roku 2004.
