Balans welcomes back Swedish-born Staffan Linzatti for his second release on the Dutch imprint with Dividing in Two, an energetic two-track EP keeping consistent with the labels vision of delivering classic techno rhythms. ‘Dizziness’ opens the EP with a hypnotizing yet airy signal that captivates upon overture. Combined with a rolling bass and quintessential claps it is sure to enchant any listener. On side B, ‘Clarity’ takes a whole new direction opening straight into a full-blown kick and high hats that persist throughout the track.

"Trauma Collective has been hard working many years, promoting parties with some of the most interesting artists of the techno and experimental scene from around the world. We want to thank all
of them for their trust and commitment, which has often brought about, in addition to music, meeting great people personally. Thanks to all the synergies created, Trauma Collective goes a step further.
We are very flattered to announce that soon will released the first reference of our record label that will be issued in physical and digital format in which we will try to project our concept beyond the events. Our first reference is in charge of Monrella, better known as Mick Harris or Fret, half contempt or member of the influential grindcore band Napalm Death- Mick presents new tunes with his funkier moniker, Monrella, with which he has already published a series of works between 1996 and 2002 on the legendary label ZET records.
Four tracks of techno that take us back to Birmingham in the 90s, bringing memories of the legendary House of God and go straight to the stomach. Four devastating cuts of direct and raw techno, while
splashed with pure funk, ready make the dancefloor burn. Old school techno produced in 2019.
The physical distribution will be carried out exclusively through the Brittish platform Juno, while the digital one will be through our own bandcamp and other related platforms."

Very reminiscent of early F-com releases and our own harbour city duo Duplex's early works on Dub and Clone Records.

Umwelt allies with Midnight Shift for the release of the mini LP Superior Life Forms, featuring six devastating tracks on the vinyl release and an exclusive number seven for the digital release.
Known for his take no prisoners approach to searing hardware-based broken electro with the spirit of 90s French rave parties where he participated in, Umwelt himself is founder of labels such as Fundata, New Flesh Records and Rave or Die, and a diehard scene activist, pushing the resistance for the past twenty years and more.
A dark, sci-fi bleak horror theme runs through his prolific cosmos of productions and Superior Life Forms continues the narrative. It’s a tri-invasion attack between man, machine and foreign sentient beings. From the snarling Shadow Entity creeping from the sidelines to the ominous sound of the day of reckoning depicted on title track, Superior Life Forms, Umwelt has full control of the genre – telling a story with tightly programmed sounds, deadly textural atmospherics and an uneasy, foreboding tension of a world signalling its end.

Following his solo 12" debut in November on AC Records, Armec returns with a 4-track EP on Echocentric Records. 

The music on offer is rich and emotional, microworlds of subtle melodies, pads and sci-fi drones that ooze both melancholy and hope, and will appeal to anyone into electro, IDM and techno.

A-side is a nod to Robbie's IDM roots. Just check the expansive soaring synth-work on "Auden" and the analogue moods of "Conceptualise". The droney, murky & dystopian sci-fi soundscapes of side B offer another view into Armec's production work.

Keep an eye out for Armec in 2020, more quality releases on their way.

Acclaimed Berlin-based techno producer, Pris, returns with the ‘Sulphur City’ EP – the second release on his new label Empathy, released on 29 November 2019. 
Following his debut EP on Empathy – the label and mixed media project he co-runs with Deejay Astral – in Spring 2019 with ‘New Babylon’ EP, Pris shows why he is such an exciting and respected producer, drawing on many different influences. 
Opening with the exhilarating, glitchy ‘Discovery’ which Pris describes as “a step into the unknown, combined with a sense of excitement and wonder.” ‘Soft Viral’ leads on perfectly. “A fun little track, jittery and growling. It’s nice stripping things back to get the most out of each element” 
Title track, ‘Sulphur City’, is for Pris, “very visual and inspired by a trip to Shanghai where I had a vision of an uninhabited technologically advanced city due to the climate crisis, a ride through a city succumb to nature” 
‘Twilight Falls’ shows a different side to Pris’s techno. “I have a soft spot for this. I wanted to make a somewhat uplifting track, envisioning the feeling of escaping city life during the twilight hours in a futuristic world where little natural beauty remains. But what there is, gives hope.” 
Early ‘Sulphur City’ EP supporters include Daniel Avery, Leon Vynehall, Ben UFO, Svreca, Mary Anne Hobbs, Wata Igarashi, Henning Baer, Pangaea, Rrose, and Cassegrain. 

Pris said: “The EP is a step beyond what I’ve made in the past. It draws from all aspects of my influences and experiences since first getting into music. I wanted this EP to show the side to techno that I see and want to share: colourful, energetic and painting a picture of where I’m at musically and my interpretation of what techno can be. I realised that I enjoy playing tracks with breaks in and decided to play around with them a bit myself for this EP as an experiment on how to build energy.

Subosc Ltd is glad to announce a new vinyl release. Guido Camino,
aka Mental Resonance, presents four original cuts under his Forest
on Stasys identity.
“Astral Projection” presents a cosmonautical voyage with a strong
progression that constantly builds up. The rarefied atmosphere
included in the track, features an emblematic ritualism that is
interlaced with natural waves and layers.

“Expedition” follows a photonic pumping approach, featuring non-
trivial and sparse drum patterns. The functional approach entails

complex hallucinogenic stimulations.
On the flip side, “Lumina” proposes an explorative story with sparking
elements that resonate and overlap with the different melodic layers,
producing a pleasing hypnotic effect.
“Talisman” closes the package with a decompressive, magical
journey, that carries the listener into an imaginative dream-like
dimension made of natural landscapes.
