“I first encountered Toru upon exiting a Tokyo DJ booth one evening. He was waiting patiently to pass me a CD of his work along with a polite, handwritten note. The tracks had a uniqueness and an appealing futuristic feel, and thus a few of them became regular fixtures in my DJ sets” – Ø [Phase]

Not unlike Ø [Phase]’s own beginnings, and following in the footsteps of the great artists before him, Katsuta’s humble approach caught the attention of mainstay techno fixtures. In 2021, he released a remix on Matrixxman’s The Grid label for fellow up- and-coming artist Alarico. Despite being his first featured release, Katsuta’s music has already been circulating clubs and broadcasts around the globe.
Japanese artist Toru Katsuta returns on Ø [Phase]’s Modwerks label with six space trips to send minds into hyperdrive.

Label boss Ramon Tapia is back on Say What? with an anniversary release number 200 delivering an epic 3-track release called 'Seduction' that will blow your mind!

We start with the title track where old-school stabs and gritty little vocal snippets make this track into a perfect tool to make bodies move! Its infectious groove makes you lose yourself into those endless nights and its rhythms.

Massa legitimizes with this new challenge his ability to preserve a musical personality that determines his identity as a producer and his record label as well. An abyss of electromagnetic impulses awake the listener from a slight lethargy, each tiny organism is subjected to a small stimulus that increases in intensity until emerging from the deepest entrails of human being.

Polish producer Blazej Malinowski emphasizes the spiritual character of the release with an adaptation of Binocular Disparity in which the harmonic connections appease the temperament of the original cut.
