After debuting on Unknown Movements’ last compilation, then recording a live hardware set as one half of Roam for the label’s podcast earlier this year, Parisian producer dc11 delivers a solo EP of deep, modular techno, backed by a remix from UM boss Other Form. Employing modular synths to stumble upon ideas, refine micro loops, and build texture, dc11 (real name Lucas Marchal) has amassed a sizeable following for his gear demos and live jams, and the tracks here showcase the dexterity he has with with his machines — an obsession influenced by the repetition of krautrock to the heaviness of stoner rock, via the techno minimalism of Mike Parker. Maintaining a focussed pace and heads-down approach for all four original tracks, the mood is frenetic and yet hypnotic, eventually giving way to the fifth: a slow, fractured, polyrhythmic reworking by Other Form.

After debuting on Unknown Movements’ last compilation by recording a live hardware set as one half of Roam for the label’s podcast earlier this year, Parisian producer @dc11music delivers a solo EP of deep, modular techno, backed by a remix from UM boss Other Form. "Nikka" is a perfect encapsulating of pulsating minimal techno produced in analog form.

Employing modular synths to stumble upon ideas, refine micro loops, and build texture, dc11 (real name Lucas Marchal) has amassed a sizeable following thanks to his gear demos and live jams. The four tracks on the Pulse Output EP showcase the dexterity he has with with his machines — an obsession influenced by the repetition of krautrock to the heaviness of stoner rock, via the techno minimalism of Mike Parker. 

Maintaining a focused pace and heads-down approach for all four original tracks, the mood of Pulse Outputs is just as the title describes: frenetic, yet hypnotic, eventually giving way to the fifth track: a slow, fractured, polyrhythmic reworking by Other Form.

Inherent Stasis is a new Parisian duo. With previous experience in theatre, dance performances, field recording, and sound engineering, Benjamin and Mathieu combine forces for a techno ep that feels entirely of their own, dynamic, punchy and deep. Drawing on their extensive field recordings library and love for modular synthesisers those tracks came to be in just a few intense sessions.

Umwelt allies with Midnight Shift for the release of the mini LP Superior Life Forms, featuring six devastating tracks on the vinyl release and an exclusive number seven for the digital release.
Known for his take no prisoners approach to searing hardware-based broken electro with the spirit of 90s French rave parties where he participated in, Umwelt himself is founder of labels such as Fundata, New Flesh Records and Rave or Die, and a diehard scene activist, pushing the resistance for the past twenty years and more.
A dark, sci-fi bleak horror theme runs through his prolific cosmos of productions and Superior Life Forms continues the narrative. It’s a tri-invasion attack between man, machine and foreign sentient beings. From the snarling Shadow Entity creeping from the sidelines to the ominous sound of the day of reckoning depicted on title track, Superior Life Forms, Umwelt has full control of the genre – telling a story with tightly programmed sounds, deadly textural atmospherics and an uneasy, foreboding tension of a world signalling its end.
