Acclaimed Berlin-based techno producer, Pris, returns with the ‘Sulphur City’ EP – the second release on his new label Empathy, released on 29 November 2019. 
Following his debut EP on Empathy – the label and mixed media project he co-runs with Deejay Astral – in Spring 2019 with ‘New Babylon’ EP, Pris shows why he is such an exciting and respected producer, drawing on many different influences. 
Opening with the exhilarating, glitchy ‘Discovery’ which Pris describes as “a step into the unknown, combined with a sense of excitement and wonder.” ‘Soft Viral’ leads on perfectly. “A fun little track, jittery and growling. It’s nice stripping things back to get the most out of each element” 
Title track, ‘Sulphur City’, is for Pris, “very visual and inspired by a trip to Shanghai where I had a vision of an uninhabited technologically advanced city due to the climate crisis, a ride through a city succumb to nature” 
‘Twilight Falls’ shows a different side to Pris’s techno. “I have a soft spot for this. I wanted to make a somewhat uplifting track, envisioning the feeling of escaping city life during the twilight hours in a futuristic world where little natural beauty remains. But what there is, gives hope.” 
Early ‘Sulphur City’ EP supporters include Daniel Avery, Leon Vynehall, Ben UFO, Svreca, Mary Anne Hobbs, Wata Igarashi, Henning Baer, Pangaea, Rrose, and Cassegrain. 

Pris said: “The EP is a step beyond what I’ve made in the past. It draws from all aspects of my influences and experiences since first getting into music. I wanted this EP to show the side to techno that I see and want to share: colourful, energetic and painting a picture of where I’m at musically and my interpretation of what techno can be. I realised that I enjoy playing tracks with breaks in and decided to play around with them a bit myself for this EP as an experiment on how to build energy.

Subosc Ltd is glad to announce a new vinyl release. Guido Camino,
aka Mental Resonance, presents four original cuts under his Forest
on Stasys identity.
“Astral Projection” presents a cosmonautical voyage with a strong
progression that constantly builds up. The rarefied atmosphere
included in the track, features an emblematic ritualism that is
interlaced with natural waves and layers.

“Expedition” follows a photonic pumping approach, featuring non-
trivial and sparse drum patterns. The functional approach entails

complex hallucinogenic stimulations.
On the flip side, “Lumina” proposes an explorative story with sparking
elements that resonate and overlap with the different melodic layers,
producing a pleasing hypnotic effect.
“Talisman” closes the package with a decompressive, magical
journey, that carries the listener into an imaginative dream-like
dimension made of natural landscapes.
The EP will be available as a vinyl only release, on a strictly limited
pressing.

New weapon in our digital army this time provided by Aine veteran Endplate. This spanish producer is one the hidden treasures of local underground scene, and his skills in the studio are nothing but awesome. We have teamed up with him for this extended Ep made of six scientific techno tracks, well seasoned, carefully crafted and timeless.

Promotion is an obsessive track, with a detailed structure built with a few fundamental elements that come and go wisely in the arrangement.

Tired from Early shows electric tension from the beginning, with sub frequencies boosting the air while continuous synth lines and digital percussions lie on top. Again a multi layered intelligently arranged tool.

At school remids us the best minimal synth works from the likes of Mike Parker, dubbed out delayed lines, subtle kicks and a lot of liquidness.

Gemini goes into solid territories with percussive elements as starring, white noise washes, delayed lines and complexity.

They call it a mine is a pure drill, distorsion, obsessive broken drums and drones in an industrial floor destroyer.

Alteration of the order removes any superficial element and keeps the pace with heavy sub bass action and resonant sweep, and excelent track for building up a set.

A complex and mature work that shows techno is not just teenage noise and social media posts, is also about real music.

Warm Up Recordings latest digital weapon comes from Aine veteran Endplate.

Creativity lies in various artistic factors based mainly on commitment and maturity that is acquired with it, each project is a decision that is forged with a cold mind and requires to be conceived at the right time, a waiting time between projection and execution, this is what presents us with DORHG on his new label Atroc Records, where he opens a catalog with the remixes of Kalter Ende & Sarf, a 180g and twelve inches LTD vinyl, entitled "Fixing Process".

The path taken by DORHG with Fixing Process reveals his experience and vocation for dynamic, rhythmic, deep and syncopated structures, through icy and mental sequences, without leaving aside the physical and direct in his message.

Melting is the track that opens the release, it is bent to a deep bass sequence that reiterates its presence without variation, and although it acts as the central axis of the track, it is the percussive elements that are annexed in the background that give a certain energetic charge. Indistinctly to the original version, Kalter Ende refuses to maintain this bass line and leads us to another character more dense and textured in his adaptation, but preserving the rhythmic nerve.
