London’s Lee Novell aka 'XONO' has been playing with grooves, creating moods and layering textures for some time now. His love for dance & rhythms stems from his early years listening throughout the night to pirate radio stations as far his antenna would reach. 

This passion for radio and DJ culture can be heard in his very own monthly XONO Invites radio series. Which he carefully produces himself to showcase the freshest House & Techno artists around which he's established to contribute to the scene and support artists with the same vision and appreciation for the sound he loves. 
Now creating his own ideas with rhythmic grooves and textures through production. His unique sound can heard through his co-owned Imprint Platform 22, Which is run by himself and Kai Hickinson (FLAWS)  

XONO's Career is still at its early stage but an artist with so much passion and dedication is one to surely exceed and excel.

All the way from Argentina we welcome Juan Cretton and Juan Pablo Gay who together form TE#RA. They have been active since the beginning of 2017 and released their music on labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Trau-ma and Coded Platform.

In this mix they share their club-orientated sound, about which they had the following to say:

'We always strive to stimulate the senses of our audience from the beginning to the end. This time we chose to transmit harmonic melodies to mix peace with a melancholic feeling. At the same time we maintain a vibrant energy, without deviating from our course, thus narrating the current reality in which we live.

We see it as our duty to keep the spirit of the dance floor deep, hypnotic and powerful so that the audience can fully enjoy the experience of our sound. To achieve that we mix tracks from different emerging artists who carry the true spirit of techno inside.'

A Day in the Life - is the first chapter of a dedicated series fully curated by Steve Bicknell [@steve-bicknell] for KR3. 

This bold new work by the veteran English artist provides an insight into the mind of the artist. 

Side A features three tracks by The Evader, another face of Steve Bicknell. An obscure intro leads us straight to the point: 4/4 sounds, repetitive and hypnotic, not afraid to be heavy. In fact, that's the point: to take everything that is a burden to us and embrace it. After all, there can be no light without darkness. 

On Side B, Steve Bicknell has a killer approach. A parallel rail to Side A, with a more furious, still gloomy approach. He moves in the same direction but vents different emotions. The sound is harder, rawer, faster and more impetuous. 
An outro ends the EP, as if to represent a circle closing: The first lap inside A day in the life.

BIO:
Surgeles (Kole Leijen) is a true musician with a lot of energy. He started digging into his parent’s records collection at the age of five and at the young age of eight his sister introduced him to house music. Soon after that, young Surgeles got his first set of turntables as a present for his birthday and started visiting regularly his local record dealer. While after a couple of years he started producing his own dark, deep and swerving techno. In 2005, while attending a Jeff Mills’s show, Surgeles managed to give a demo CD to The Wizard. The very next day Surgeles received a personal mail from Jeff Mills claiming that his music sounded great and that it inspired him to let Surgeles make a mix for his Purpose Maker Label. Two weeks later Surgeles’ mix was on Jeffs Mills’ Axis Records’ website for the 10th anniversary of the all-time Techno anthem "The Bells". ! Later that year, during the Amsterdam Dance Event, Surgeles won a competition hosted by Dave Clarke for the best produced track and was than picked to play on Dave Clarke’s White Noise radio show on 3FM Radio. Around 2007 Kole started throwing his own parties called ‘Civilized?” at the legendary Escape club in Amsterdam. While 2009 marked the beginning of his career as record-label boss, as he launched his brainchild: ‘Underground Freedom Fighters (UFF) Records’. ! Ever since, the collaborations with Jeff Mills kept on flowing and Surgeles' consecration came when Jeff asked him to make a compilation for his label, ‘Something In The Sky’. ! In 2017 Jeff entrusted DJ Surgeles to take care of “the Betty Hill Case”, a 12” inspired by the story and the interviews of an American couple, who were allegedly abducted by extraterrestrials in a rural portion of New Hampshire in 1961.

Hailing from her native Tilburg, Julie has been on the radar of local clubs for a while, earning herself a residency at Gin Fizz and Suburban Disco before her fast-paced, rolling, percussion-driven techno reached a wider audience. Playing piano from an early age, she has honed her ear for the melody and rhythm that are so evident in each of her sets today.
