Before that, it was the material that suffused the realm of the Gods. So, to say that something is in the ether means that it is something being communicated from place to place; it has no precise location, just as a radio broadcast can be heard from many different places. DJ, producer, and singer Linn Elisabet embodies contemporary techno. Defying conventional frameworks and functionality, their compositions and performances are characterized by ethereal vocals, intricate sound design, and raw broken beats. With a classically trained background in cello and church choirs, it's clear where their reverberant soundscapes and symphonic narratives originate. In addition to their works on their own label, Acts of Rebellion, Linn has released music on renowned labels such as 47, Noise Manifesto, and Gegen, among others.

Acts of Rebellion releases alternative dance music that challenges genre conventions and traditional functionality. By fiercely representing diverse and transgressive expressions, the label aims to leave an indelible mark on techno, offering alternatives to the status quo and the established norms of dance music. The imprint's mission is driven by artistic collaboration, transmedial expressions, and custom limited-edition releases. Acts of Rebellion affiliates include artists such as Rå, Metaraph, Raär, Angel Karel, Amotik, and more.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
