Berlin's FLASH Recordings is a leading underground imprint of the finest techno, headed up by Florian Meindl, and admired around the world. The latest release contains four original works plus a special bonus track that was previously a vinyl only selection on FLASH, and that was featured on Fiedel's recent Berghain 08 Mix CD for Ostgut Ton. Italian-Berliner known as Avgusto, who is a key artist of FLASH with numerous EP's and remixes for the label. His contributions can also be logged for the likes of Kaputt, Elektrax, !Organism and Amazone also, as he continues to be noted as an exciting producer. The tracks range from raving, high octane club weapons, to more hypnotic, driving sounds that have a powerful and gritty vibe all round.

Variance are back with our usual unique and authentic sound. This time we see the return of label regulars, Duo Alias, after they initially joined us with their track on the Variance300 compilation with Future Tense, and their well received album Second Sight, they have gone on to release B£$tard !​!​! on our Xmas free VA, Funktion CORE on Various Artist Volume 1., remix OLVE/KCRAs' CHNGL, and Bone Skippers most recent EP Drum Machine 2s' title track Drum Machine 2, and the most recent one was on the Variance4000 compilation with The Choice. So they have become a part of the furniture here at Variance, and they aren't some old sofa, they are more or less, an entire room of top of the range furniture!! The support for them has been immense, watching them grow and become more and more popular has been a pleasure to watch. Yet again, they have outdone themselves with four incredible original tracks, we would of done a second album with the demos they sent, but they insisted we whittle it down to four, we feel like they were the best four in the pack, but with their production skills and efficient and their substantial output it wan't easy, but we picked the varying tracks, The Human Factor, King Size, State Express and Shadows and Symbols, each of which has the Duo Alias stamp all over them. On to the remixes, first up we have label regular Blurred Boy, he has featured on Variance more then any other artist, including the owner of the label, and with his output on the label, remixes, originals, and remixes of his originals, he is head and shoulders above others, you can go onto our Beatport, Juno, Soundcloud or Bandcamp and hear his sound develop and progress, this time he provided a broken beat 128bpm remix of King Size, remnant of British Murder Boys, he certainly could be a French Murder Boy, if that was ever to happen. Then we have new to the crew Black Market Nutrition, the currently anonymous duo will be featuring heavily in the future on Variance, they remixed Shadows and Symbols, to great effect. A great way to kick off their presence on the label, with a prior remix on Blurred Boys' Blurry Tracks, that we recommend you check out. to round it off another great art-work from Interferon, as per usual he out did himself. Enjoy the package, and watch this space, things are getting bigger and better, like you couldn't even imagine.
