Techno is body music. It’s all about this special feeling that you have when your mind disconnects and your body just follows the music, the feeling of freedom when you dance. 
Simone’s vision of techno unceasingly characterizes his unique productions as well as his DJ sets. Colorful and energetic techno, a powerful explosion of craziness and happiness at the same time. 
Three-dimensional spatial sounds combined with gentle but determined drum grooves create a mystical whirling result and a killer stereo experience. 
Last year Simone founded the Berlin based art and music collective Friendship Collective. Through his devotion to techno and visual and performance arts the idea for CONCEPTUAL was born. 
His performances will often be characterized by collaborations with visual artists and performers, creating a special techno experience for the people that come to see him play. 
Simone’s progressive approach to producing and DJing as well as his collaborations with artists in and outside music reflects his artistic vision and goals as much as his spirited personality, and, in its essence, embodies what CONCEPTUAL represents.

Dva Damas (pronounced duvva damas) were the first act to release a record on Downwards America, the new US offshoot of Karl ‘Regis’ O’Connor’s now two-decades-old, Birmingham-born label. Downwards America is being operated by John Mendez, O’Connor’s long time cohort and collaborator in Sandwell District; and it was Mendez who, after attending Dva Damas’s first public live show in 2009, signed them on the spot to record their debut single.

Biography:
Grebenstein is a producer, DJ and visual artist living in Kassel, Germany.
After playing in several bands as a drummer and guitarist he made his solo-debut with a 4-track EP Grebenstein on Downwards Records in November 2014. His next EP on Downwards is currently in the works and due out this year.

VRIL is one of the most reliable artists in techno. He emerged with a style that was his own and has pretty much stuck to it ever since. Eight years after his debut, that loopy, dubby take on the genre sounds as vital as ever, and most often comes on labels like Delsin, Dystopian and Giegling. A live set from the German is just as floor facing and effective. It will veer from deeper moments of intensity to trippy, off kilter drum patterns that are designed to keep you moving. 

Here he serves up a perfectly mix that syncs perfectly with the changing season: it’s all warm and cuddly from the off, with cosy dub techno cocooning you in an inviting sound world that slowly transitions into more twisted and straight up techno. Whether the drums are thumping or laying more horizontal, there is an absorbing intensity to VRIL's work that proves he is someone who has a real mastery of his art.

We know that the producer is from London, and he’s found a home on adventurous, bass-inclined labels like Livity Sound and Hidden Hawaii over the last few years. Lhasa is the brainchild of Alain Raes from Siegen, Germany. As a teenager he was inspired by Tubeway Army's “Are Friends Electric” and Art Of Noise’s “Beatbox”. In 1985 he began collecting analog equipment (Prophet-5; Oberheim OB-X; Linn LM-1) as digital synthesizers had started to become more popular. In 1986, New Beat was born in Belgium. Dancers tapped into the darker side of synth pop, and DJs would play 45 rpm records at 33 with the pitch control set to +8. Alain was playing in New Wave bands and had started production work and synth programming for other acts.
In 1988 he self-released the debut Lhasa single ‘Acetabularia’ / ‘Acetatechno’, with help from Kris Tremmery on vocals and concept. The record combined the icy melodies of Gary Numan and John Foxx with with the mechanical rhythms of Detroit techno and EBM. Thematically, both tracks revolve around the end of life on Earth, and include  samples from ‘Dr. Strangelove’. For this first time reissue, we’ve added 4 bonus tracks rescued from a 1990 recording session DAT tape. These demos show further development of the Lhasa sound with updated instruments (Roland D-20, Yamaha TX16W, Korg 707), faster tempos, and menacing proto-rave energy. All songs have been mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each copy includes an 11x11 poster with photos and liner notes by Alain.

The Lady Machine is a veteran Brazilian artist with 20 years of experience on her belt purely as a vinyl DJ. Based on a more complex structure of rhythms with dark underground lines of synths and textures, The Lady Machine incorporates the spirit of techno in the twenty first century. 
She stands by a deep musical research and precise technique. Her versatile sets blend genres of techno in its many forms and when combined with her fast, furious but tight mixing it creates a perfect atmosphere with the dancefloor. "I never limit myself to one style. “A quality sound with attitude and always dance floor orientated are what I try to convey in my sets" she says. 
Following a hiatus from the techno community, over the past two years she has cemented her name in the Berlin community playing at the best events in the city and becoming a resident at the highly-rated event Pornceptual. 
Previously she has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Brazil for many years, her skills have taken her around the globe over the past two decades including Asia, North America, Latin America and numerous tours of Europe with club and festival performances across the continent. 
Now residing in Berlin, she is running her label Unterwegs and recently released the second record with some long-awaited production in the form of two solid, raw techno tracks: Diligence & Vigilance. Her tracks have been supported by acts such as Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Freddy K, Setaoc Massand many others.  
Meanwhile, she continuous to perfect her productions skills concentrating on the quality, not quantity of output and playing gigs for well established clubs and parties.

Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno. Authentically purveying the pulsations of the nakedly throbbing and ugly world, far away from Starbucks and H&M.
Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote-Evolver, Komisch and Frozen Border sublabel Naked Index he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016. Like a rabid mongrel, since 1998 he has been chewing and belching new bastard beats that are aching to scream out. Parisian – Benales has been honing his craft since the end of the 90s. As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia) but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia Label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, Key Vinyl, and many more to follow.
