Kareem, Founder of Zhark Recordings Berlin, has been presenting heavy armoured track material since the year 96 challenging the auditory, pushing them deep into the abyss.
His definition of the Zharkesthetic lies in conveying a claustrophobic state > an atmosphere of threatening sound architecture constantly challenging the innocuous conventions of the electronic DANCE MEDIUM.

His portfolio ranges from dozens of vinyl releases on Zhark, to release collaborations with industrial techno producers such as Ancient Methods or Dave Foster aka HUREN. 
Kareem has furthermore contributed to projects such as Amélie Ravalec`s Techno Documentary Paris/Berlin 20 years of underground Techno, Perc`s 10 year anniversary compilation or Boomkat`s Connor Thomas conceptional vinyl series The Death of Rave. 

Kareem has played major venue such as Berghain, Tresor or Katharis (Amsterdam) and has been transmitting his dark vision of Techno both as a DJ and in intense long enduring Live Set sessions.

Kole Leijen (1983) is started playing and making Techno music since 1998. Getting support from the biggest artists like Jeff Mills,Dave Clarke,DVS1,Oscar Mulero,Chris Liebing and many others, he is a well known character in the scene. Also Kole is owner of U.F.F Records, which has now 14 releases, with artist like, Jay Denham, Elektrabel, Oliver Kucera, Eric Fetcher and Mike Storm on it. Played at hundreds of parties in his career, he knows how to get the visitor at higher spheres with his hypnotic DJ-sets. As highlights he played also at Awakenings and Tresor Berlin. In 2012 he also appears on Axis Records with the Something In The Sky Mix . In 2007 he started with Jan Boekel, his own party-organisation, called ‘Civilized?’. They found a club called Escape in Amsterdam, where they gave the parties. With artists like Elektrabel, Regis, Anton Pieëte, Bas Mooy, and Rumenige & Loktibrada. DJ Surgeles played also with artists like Dimitri (nl) b2b, Echoplex, and Steve Rachmad. DJ Surgeles won the ADE 2005 Competition for best track with Dave Clarke. Labels: Axis Records Belief System Diffuse Reality Nasty Temper Records Repressure Recordings U.F.F Records Trabet Records Dancefloor Killers Achromatiq Skarn Division Switch Off Records. DJ Surgeles is one of the few left playing only vinyl sets.

Lost In Ether is 3 years old! Thank you for your constantly support. For this occasion we have something special - real legend of techno music. Takaaki Itoh at his best!

BIO:
Techno hit Japan hard in the early 90s, TAKAAKI ITOH was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. In 1994, Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan.

By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success. In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe.

His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ.

As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, like Awakenings, Berghain, Tresor. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and he became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music.

There Berlin based Brit is as exceptional in the DJ booth ask he is the studio and live arena, and his output remains as vivid and vital as ever six years after his spellbinding debut. 

This mix is arresting from the off. It’s a blizzard of overdriven drums and frazzled synth lines that are impossibly restless and raw. Even the moments of relative emptiness and calm are pregnant with tension and menace before things race off once more and leave you gassing for breath. It’s an impressively exhilarating ride that balances light with dark and calm with chaos in just the right proportions so as to never let up and never let you go.

This is my second liveset. I have done it in the covid-'holiday'-time in April 2020. I had so much time for playing with my kids, making music and watching TV :D
It is all done with a Octatrack, a Novation Drumstation, a Novation A-Station, an Elektron Analog Drive, a Korg Monologue and a Roland VT-3. ....it goes all through a Mackie mixer and an Alesis Smashup compressor.

Formerly one half of a live duo, Oliver emerged as a self-titled solo artist in 2016, an outlet for cold electronics conceived by London-based producer and DJ, @oliver_gibson. Oliver’s sonic interests lay in a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention. After teasing edits in his sets and a remix of R.L Crutchfield’s classic ‘No, Nothing, Never’ from Dark Day, Gibson made his debut in late 2020 with a 5-track ‘Knuckle Love’ EP on the Moralez run, @msqrecords including remixes by @flmmkr and Lander. His style is an intersection between Post-Punk, EBM, Darkwave, Industrial Techno and Rave. His session explores these and more, building up patiently over the mix. Lock in!

ANFS is an electronic music producer and DJ based in Athens. Involved in various projects since an early age, he discovered an interest in electronic music, weird electronics and obscure sounds while studying sound design. In 2012, alongside fellow friends @kondaktor and 3.14 (@alxp), he co-founded the record label @modal-analysis, and later on 2015 he launched his own personal imprint, @vanilarecords and recently released @agiavarvaraoriginals, a label focused more on noise and experimental sounds. All platforms work as a self-referential point as well as an archive that documents the current electronic scene of Greece.
