Qaypz is a DJ and producer from East Belgium active in the Belgian electronic music scene since several years. He is the founder of the Krank’m’Haus organisation which brings to light outstanding artists from its native region and other countries. Underground sounds have always fascinated him. His love for Berlin clubs and its raving experience has influenced him pretty much in his artistic vision. He pays particularly attention to striking kicks on dark and industrial pads, meeting sometimes glum melodies, everything guided by a stunning rhythm into his techno journey.

Justine Perry is a French Techno DJ and Producer based in Berlin.
She is a resident at Kalt in Strasbourg (FR) and part of the Résilience crew in Paris.

As part of the LGBTQIA+ community with many appearances on queer parties as KiKi (Tbilisi), Mess (Paris), Spectrum (Paris), Pax Romana (Amsterdam) and more, Justine embraces the need of building diversity and a safer environment in music.

Proposing a timeless sound of fast-paced, deep and trippy grooves, she established herself in Paris and beyond, playing in clubs like Berghain, Khidi, Tresor, ∄ (K41), Rex Club, Radion, IFZ, or the old Griessmühle in Berlin.

She also graced many of the most prominent radio shows Europe has to offer like Red Light Radio Amsterdam, HÖR Berlin, or Rinse FM and has released music on labels like DNC Limited, Postdynamic or Unknown Movements.

It's a phrase we've heard in passing that pauses the soul for a brief moment before we scurry away in the system.
What does this mean to us, where does it take us and is it fear or love that resonates when hearing or uttering it?
There are always so many questions, yet we fail to answer them and leave this world still and in search.
Shrouded in layers of chaos and confusion diffuses the soul, so how can we nourish it?
My answer to these complexities begins with Ancestral Landscapes' journey into what seems at first to be unknown, yet when we open ourselves to the trip, we begin to see the path. It was in front of us the whole time.
As we enter verse II of our journey, we open ourselves to possibilities lost in the memory of time. Our souls become nourished, our third eye opens, and we learn to see with our hearts.
Consider these words when experiencing the journey Ancestral Landscapes has created for us.

Artist's statement/
Salvo Pizzuto is a DJ producer born in the Italian peninsula who has always had a passion for more profound electronic music, clubbing and listening to his favourite DJs over time have shaped his tastes to the point it is. Currently. Salvo started DJing around 2017 at various underground parties in his hometown and is one of the very few DJs in Sicily to promote deep/experimental techno. His inspirations come from the beautiful nature that surrounds him and from mysticism. Its sound is based on dark and ambient percussions and modulations. Salvo is constantly growing, always looking for new hypnotic and atmospheric sounds that can lead the listener on a mental journey by recreating soundscapes. His curriculum is continuously increasing; he has made several publications, Nfeere, Space Texture, DNC LIMITED, DOSIS RECORDS, LETT RECORDS, THE CODE, ERAM RECORDS AND Charybdis, under the pseudonym of SAAM.

Eulogy, for a long time, he has been listening to electronic music in general and is fascinated by cinema-like massive soundtracks, especially the atmospheric pads in the background, and the way they are created still fascinates him today.
His love for strange forgotten man-made structures and recurring rhythmic sounds led him almost without detours to the current sound, which has a very strong impact on sets and also productions of his.
It is a hunt for the loss of time and somewhere also space. There is nothing that can be explored in seconds, his sound invites you to linger.

Our 56th podcast comes from @Mankindddd, who has made his appearance first in 2017 as a member of a new generation of DJs in the Budapest 🇭🇺 nightlife. Since then he founded and contributed to many successful projects such as Pursuit of acid, Tripolar or at the partyseries called Hardboiled. Most recently he has been active as a resident and music curator of the iconic Aether club.

His hypnotic, percussive and often trippy style brought an exciting and much needed breath of fresh air into the electronic music scene of the capital, that propelled him to being one of the most known and acknowledged DJ nationwide.

Shaney, DJ and producer, is originally from Brittany and has been living in Paris for a few years.
He started his first mixes at 14 and productions at 18.
If we had to describe his music, we would use the terms: Cold, repetitive, dark, even mental, a genre that is similar to Techno, but not only... Young producer of the Parisian scene having played in clubs such as Kilomètre 25, Glazart or the new Casino alongside Surgeon, Lucy, The Lady Machine, Zadig, Voiski and many others.  Founder of the label S.Lab Ltd.

His influences: Luke Slater, Oscar Mulero Zadig.
After the release in 2019 of his first EP "65-21-279-S Pt 1" released on his label S.Lab Ltd, supported and played by Laurent Garnier, Bas Mooy & Zadig, he decided to release Pt 2 alongside his friend Zadig in 2022. It is with Zadig that he signs a new collaboration for the first Various Artists of his label alongside Orbe, Porteix, Clotur & Kuss. 
That same year, he created with Porteix a P&S side project which released its first EP in February 2022 on Abstract Division's Dutch label Dynamic Reflection.

Bassiani Podcast’s 16th episode, recorded at the club’s season closing night, comes from Antonin Jeanson, best known as Antigone, whose entry into the world of electronic music has been highly acclaimed with his debut EP "Forbidden Works" on Construct Re-Form back in 2011, followed by releases such as “The Astral Traveller” and “The Deadly Games Of Gamma”. Oscar Mulero is a techno producer and DJ from Madrid, in charge of successful record labels Pole Recordings and Warm Up Recordings. He began his career as a DJ at the end of the 80’s in Madrid, in the most experimental clubs of the city and soon ended up playing at the legendary Spanish club New World. In 1996, as a part of famous Sonar festival, the name of Oscar Mulero appeared among the list of international underground djs such as Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills. Since 1998, Oscar Mulero has released four studio albums and over 30 EPs on the labels like Tresor, Token, Semantica and his very own Warm Up and Pole Recordings. Beside this, he has developed a fully audiovisual experience with his “Light & Dark AV Set”, tested live in some of the best festivals around. His alter ego,Dr. Smoke also gained strength during this period as a showcase of Oscar’s open and eclectic vision as a music selector, moving deep into territories such as electro, dub and IDM.

His picks for Bassiani Podcast are pretty much what you might expect from the techno heavyweight, such as Oscar Mulero - an atmospheric, dynamic and moody compositions that keep the hype and energy from the beginning till the very end. Following an intense first 30 minutes, the latter half sinks into even more noisy and aggressive staff capturing Mulero’s special approach to techno aesthetic.
