Unhealed is the moniker of the Berlin via Sao Paulo artist Igor Girio.
Active in the Sao Paulo scene since the early 2000's, he gathers experience as a promoter, artist and sound engineer in one of most exciting spotlights of South America.

Drawing inspiration from the 80's underground, he delivers powerful doses of EBM, wave, electro, italo and post-punk, combining authorial material and hidden gems into dense Dj sets.

He is also one of the minds behind the Berlin based label Crave Tapes, where he promotes events around Europe with the focus of spreading the EBM/wave/post- punk culture. With releases out on labels such as The Hiddens, Miseria, Crave Tapes and Shishi, he is becoming a regular on the Berlin, Lisbon and Sao Paulo circuits.

DJ Tankard (@finlaytankard on Instagram) is a disc jockey and producer hailing from the South West of Britain. He is a member of the Lizard Tapes (@lizard_tapes on Instagram) collective, which aims to showcase all kinds of underground sounds via a podcast, live events and  releases, the very first of which is dropping soon!! He also helps run Exeter's 'Beats and Bass Society', a group which aims to help upcoming student DJs find the tools and oppurtunities to practice and enter the club scene.


Tankard has previously appeared on podcasts such as Dark Science Electro, МОСОБЛЭЛЕКТРО and Brick Sweat Records, and has a recent track released on FU.ME records. He's no stranger to the stage either, having supported the likes of Mall Grab, Kettama and Skin on Skin in his local Exeter, alongside being a regular DJ at local clubs and events.


As for the mix itself, you can expect a range of flavours from the early 90s to the freshest releases that help illustrate DJ Tankard's style as you'd hear it on the dancefloor. Look forward to miami bass, straight-up electro and g-tech.

"I am going to take you on a ride where I will challenge you to back down or go with me," Parrish Smith says in the interview below. "If you don't like to do this, and you see a glimpse of me, you will dislike me. But the second time it happens again, I will be there to change your mind again, just to be challenged."

It's a confident, confrontational idea that goes with an unusually confrontational RA Podcast, a mix that represents a truly free spirit in the European dance scene. Smith, who also moonlights in the band Volition Immanent with fellow Dutch trailblazer Mark Knekelhuis, makes and plays hard, aggressive techno. But instead of gabber BPMs and overdriven kick drums, he directly incorporates ideas, sounds and influences from rock, punk and metal, a tricky combination that he nails like few others have been able to. (Just check his album Light, Cruel & Vain.)

Case in point: this mix blends Regis, Tzusing and Playboi Carti with Sepultura, Juno Reactor and Celldweller. It's a journey to the end of aesthetics, where opposites don't attract so much as crash and melt into each other. It's a fierce hour-and-a-half but never quite overbearing or overwhelming, gracefully weaving in and out of chaos like the work of someone who knows the real impact and art of heavy music.
