Evigt Mörker joins for DifferentSound Podcast #106.

The unsettling terrain of Evigt Mörker's world can be broken up into a few frenetic parts that give the overall impression of a serene habitat. There's the otherworldly foreground of his techno works that are blissfully psychedelic as well as carefully structured for the most subtly disorientating shifts, and hovering amongst this is his wholesome grasp on the purpose and consequence of melody. Together, this is Evigt Mörker's deadly and addictive mix. 

For those that have witnessed Evigt Mörker live or as DJ, a different side to his recorded output comes into play. Often far more forceful than his releases, there's an energetic and rhythmic power reserved for these moments. It's perhaps this versatility that's kept him in such high demand as a remixer. Taken to the other end of the spectrum, Evigt Mörker's live shows are capable of elegant ambient pieces, if holding a dancefloor down isn't the modus operandi.

We want to introduce our next podcast artist in her own words:

SHELLEY, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun.
Her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected, with a vibe strongly rooted in nature dressed in deep techno. Her sessions blend hypnotic & percussive sounds with dubby & organic atmospheres.
Through this combination, she achieves to impact mind & soul in an unique way, channeling her love for the deeper electronics and turning it into beautiful sonic sceneries.
SHELLEY left her mark on such platforms as Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Deepinic, to name a few.
She is also mixing her own mix series called SECRET PLACE available on her SoundCloud.

DifferentSound invites Operator (Southsea)

The DifferentSound Podcast #288 welcomes Operator! Operator is the alias of UK Techno artist Rich Jones, who has been DJing since the late 90s and producing since the early 00ʼs. After signing multiple successful 12” E.Pʼs to Soma, 8 Sided Dice and appearing on Richie Hawtinʼs Minus, Rich moved away from the trendy big room sound of the time and created Operator in 2012, to let his creative hair down and experiment with a wider sonic palette. This led to well received vinyl E.Pʼs on Audio Assault and Singular initially, and more recently releases on Mindtrip, Symbolism and a 12” LP on Mord. Rich also runs Gnosis Records, which he reserves for his more quirky and weird creations, occasionally veering into house flavours. Being from the UK, where in the early 00ʼs house and techno were often happy bed fellows, this influence is clear in his heavily groovy, swung style. Although always keeping abreast of current trends, Rich mostly focuses on a timeless ‘keep it different, keep it groovyʼ approach, with a penchant for heavy drums, subtle details in the sequence and lots of analog texture.  Noticeable gigs for Rich have included Tresor, Fold, Corsica Studios and Forsage, but for various reasons in the interest of health Rich has hung up his headphones for the foreseeable future. Rich continues to work tirelessly in the studio, though, and has many forthcoming projects in the works, including an E.P on the venerable Ilian Tape, a second release on Ben Simʼs Symbolism and a 12” on Pleistocene Future along with various plans for Gnosis.

Lost In Ether | Podcast #74 | Kwartz

BIO:
Kwartz (Pole Group) is the stage name of Mario Campos, born in Madrid in 1989. In late 2011 and after publishing several EPs in different international labels, Kwartz's productions began to draw the attention of the leading names in the international scene. 

It was in 2013 when Exium, the Spanish duo, got in touch with him to publish a split EP called Fenomen which was his first release on vinyl.
In late 2013 Kwartz joined Pole Group and became part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero (oficial), where he began to release his works regularly. In addition to PoleGroup, his tracks have appeared in several of the most important international labels, such as 47, Mord Records or Warm Up Recordings.

Kwartz is constantly searching for his own sound, so 2016 brings the launch his own label: order&devotion, where he will release those of his works which move in dark atmospheres with drones and deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms designed for the dance floor.
