There’s something about Stockholm…

Strong musical connections are to be found in most parts of the city, from early days inner city creatives, to the current outskirt and suburban nightly events, where past and present intertwine in a mix hard to find elsewhere.

This is a city with rich musical history. Some stories well known and other needed to be sought out. Some commercially successful and others secured in well selected record shelves over the world.

Focusing on the latter, Skudge suspectedly looked backwards to that well known label with a capital S, also founded and ran a few blocks away from the Skudge studio.

One could presume that the A side, ’97’ hints of a past remembered, as where side B with ’Svek’ delicately concludes the fourteenth release from Skudge.

Kicking off with direct, subtle and in-tune basement dust, Skudge has managed to capture two weekend modes.

This is a soundtrack for either those apprehensive moments, where things start to fall into place and the crowd is rest assured that this will be a time to remember.

But Soundworks is also the soundtrack for those areas that turn party-goers into altered silhouettes, captured between strobe light flashes. Those types of situations, where the smoke and sweat meet in between the last dances.

From start to finish, the fourth album carries a sound that is coherent. What Soundworks means, is that all of the nine tracks on the LP are multi-dimensional, without losing traction. There are adrenal spikes but there are also drifters - most significant in the tracks ’Floating’, ’Scape’ and ’Likemind’.

All-in-all, what we have here is a return to form for Skudge, with a capital S.

Lost Pr3acher is an electronic dance record producer, graphic artist, poet, and multimedia producer who mixes multiformat art expressions to create experiences for the user intended to uplift and relieve depression. 

He has been an artist since childhood, a musician since his teenage years, and an electronic musician since 2015. He ties all these together now to create novel multimedia expressions that put the viewer/listener in a better place psychologically. His stated goal is to be able to put this to use to aid victims of trauma and depressive disorders. 

He has released a melodic techno album, "I Am the Mirror", to include multiple singles, under his own individual label Jung Munk Music. 
He works with multiple musicians from different countries on their projects to include CLOUD (Wales, Psytrance), Estlin (New Zealand, LoFi House), L'Americano (Carini, Italy, Techno), as well as multiple underground UK acid tekno artists from Bristol and the surrounding area.
