yesterday we spontaneously decided to play a dj-set in our beloved location at halle E.
for a big part 2-3 tracks/parts are playing simultaneously.. 
and since we were.. well lets put it that way.. mentally engaged - that kinda made it pretty hypnotic..

Playing this set on May 1st was truly special and I had such a great time. The energy on the open air floor was incredible, and seeing so many happy faces on the dance floor filled me with pure joy.

Rolandson is Magician On Duty and process his thoughts & feelings about current influences on the basis of the political and social occurrences into that »Music has a Message« - Mix.

He is a traveler not a tourist. this traveler of tunes began his voyage in the mid 90s and has since explored the depths of 90s Berlin dub & techno, the electro swing revival in Paris/ France and Brighton/ England, downtempo and indigenous sounds from all over the world during his travels and discovering many more musical impulses that have shaped his life along the years. So in this his selections are always a highly curated combination of unique tracks that are timeless and that overcome the boundaries of genre, country, or context. 

When he’s not behind the decks, he’s the driving force behind his label and podcast series “Seasidetrip”, which he started in 2012 after recording a mix at sea. Since the first Seasidetrip mix, many artists have have interpreted their love and longing for the sea in their own mixes, contributing to the growth of this wonderful project which has not only touched the hearts of its listeners, but also led to many friendships and inspiring collaborations with other artists along the way.

After following their music for quiet some time, we finally met them this summer at different Festivals, where we learned that they are not just great musicians but also truly funny and good persons. Their Heimlich crew is one of the most exciting projects at this point in the downtempo movement. The set they send us was recorded at an slowereastside underground party in Leipzig Ostxxx, after we had a crazy night in Munich before, where these two easily killed all our pfeffi supplies. Kellersinfonie °31 - ARUTANI

With roots in Leipzig and her current home, Berlin, @lux-io’s profile has been steadily growing over recent years. Following a 2019 that saw her tour through Japan, China and Taiwan, play her first gig in Berghain, and perform at the final Nachtdigital, her past year has been – for obvious reasons – a little more introspective than anticipated.

Her mix for Patterns of Perception fittingly explores the torn and disconnected states recent events have thrown us into, magnifying and intertwining with the still, introverted atmospheres of deep winter.

Tiptoeing on reminiscences of club nights past, this mix sketches subtle lines between different places, spaces, moods, and times, while also bringing together a number of tracks that have been accompanying Lux on her travels for years, never before quite meeting the opportunity to find their place in a mix.
