Slow Fox is the Swedish singer and song writer Sofia Henricsson. She writes, plays and sings songs that comfort and encourage her, inspired by the bitter-sweet tunes from the great americana artists before her,such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Gillian Welch, Alison Krauss, Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks, Neil Young, and the list goes on... But even if Slow Fox follows in the footsteps of these fine musicians, she is telling her own story, with her truly unique voice and her own point of view .

Thanks for listening to my music. I'm in the music scene for more than 50 years now, played thousands of gigs and released 15 albums. Never made it to the big stage, always a musicians musician, just a nicer word for having no success. Now retiring off stage and doing what I do with new productions. Never been into mainstream music, love people like Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits, outsiders who defined an own musicology. Like it or not, I'm always trying to deliver quality music, hopefully some people will find a couple of tracks they like to listen to again. This will make my day, thanks.

Born and raised in Texas. Singing since the age of six. Writing and playing shows since the age of fourteen. Further developed songwriting skills while playing the club circuit from Texas and Louisiana to New York and Los Angeles. Never learned to read music or took any classes. I compose everything in my head before I ever reach for an instrument, so  I tend to jump from one to another. I see them more as tools, there to serve the song. Similar to the way a carpenter uses a band saw or belt sander to make a cabinet. The end result as a whole is all that matters. I compose these songs with the idea of having a band playing them. So, when playing live gigs, I have a full group that accompanies me.

Big thanks to Jason Gossman, engineer extraordinaire, for remixing 3 of the songs and engineering the basic tracks for 1 of them. Much appreciation brother.

Pete Derek participated in the Spin Magazine/Music Nation Hot Pursuit of the Next Great Band Contest. Ranking in the top ten and peaking at #2 out of 4,322 bands.

Also selected into the final 100 out of over 5,000 band entries in Ditto Music's 2013 SXSW Showcase Search.

Lötgärdet is a swedish three piece that creates blues influenced traditional swedish folk music... in a slightly untraditional way perhaps? 
All the lyrics are in swedish and for the most time they are about legends, folklore and actuall happenings and people who live or have lived around Hälsingland, primarily about the village of Marmaverken where two of the band members where born and raised. We see it as a mission to keep these stories and memories alive.
