Live at WITP?

A bit sloth-wise belated, here is my recording from this year's Burning Man festival in the beautiful, but harsh desert of Nevada. Luckily I got the chance to stay at the lovely Ibiza Camp, which turned out to be a nest of international musicians that I knew only through their music and projects. So a lot of exchange happened, new friendships grew and endless hours of great music were around us every day. Inspiring times... I got the chance to play several times at this crazy place, mostly spontaneous and super fun back to backs with friends that unfortunately weren’t recorded… dusty disco bubble memories that will never die. But on Saturday afternoon I stayed in the oriental DJ booth – with that incredible view out into the open desert, on passing art cars and weird costumes.

Diese Afterhour ist eine wunderbare Zusammenstellung verschiedenster Genres, alle verschmelzen jedoch zu einem stimmigen Gesamtgebräu, welches an gut gelaunter Entspannung kaum zu übertreffen ist.

Make Baby Sleep Vol. 2

This story starts where many of us didn't know what this was all about. Sven Dohse (@svendohse) is one of the earliest key figures in Berlin's vibrant nightlife scene, providing a soundtrack to the ever changing landscape of this music-loving city. Whereas the crowd, clubs, open airs and festivals came and went, he and his passion stayed, becoming a key element of countless nights and days of dancing. His devotion and skill became an inspiration for a whole generation of musicians and listeners alike, as it was him who guided them through endless hours of collective indulgence. Feel free to tp snooze and doze, listening to this unusual selection..

Something's Coming

All is freezing.

White. Grey and white. Grey and white and cold.
Everything is shining bright, as far as the eye can see. 
And where it can’t, everything still is as white as can be.

You turn around to remember where you came from, but your footsteps have long faded in this endless frozen desert. But instead of worrying your thoughts become as light as the snowflakes that keep dancing around your nose and intuitively you join this continuing movement that is fueled by the wind. 

There is nowhere you need to be. There is nowhere you would rather be.
And as you sway and swirl you feel a growing buoyancy that takes you up. 
Up where it all comes into being. And everything around you is white and grey.

And you’re not freezing anymore.

Lotte Ahoi’s sound is a melting pot of music selected from various decades and gathered from around the world, beautifully mixed up in a cocktail she calls funkumbiafrorientropical Slothdisco.
Inspired by producers interpreting their own and others’ musical roots, she is breaking clichés by expanding genres and blending them to a new and unique sound. Colorful tunes mirror her fascination for multicultural music, bringing happiness and warmth to her listeners.
