أغنية من التراث التونسي - الكاف. 

المكان يشبه اسمه، الكاف تشبه اسمها الذي استلهم من فينوس؛ إله الحب والجمال.. على مرتفعاتها الغضّة، ولدت أغنية "بتّي سهرانة"، تمامًا حيث دُفن ألمُ فراق الحبيب في قلب امرأة كافيّة. الحبيب الذي كان يقدم من الجنوب لبيع القمح والشعير، ربما ظلّ في جنوبه ورحل. بيد أن الحبّ الذي طُمر بين سنابل القمح لا زال ينبض في الأغنية.

Mina junta as vozes da cantora portuguesa Sofia Portugal e da cantora palestiniana Terez Sliman aos três músicos portugueses Rui Ferreira, Hélder Costa e André Oliveira.

The place looks like its name, and the place Al Kaf (a city in northern Tunisia) resembles its name which was inspired by Venus; the goddess of love and beauty. On its tender mountain heights, the song “Betti Sahrana” was born, just where the lover’s pain was buried in the heart of a woman from Al Kaf. The lover, who came from the south to sell wheat and barley, may have wandered back to his south, and never returned. Love, however, which fostered within the barley spikelets remains beating in the song today.

Mina Root - Perched Remembering (Senglar Rmx)

Lottie Sadd (she/her) is an interdisciplinary composer-performer making immersive sonic performances and installations. Informed by ideas of ritual, her holistic practice is broadly concerned with exposing the processes of creation. Sadd experiments primarily with long-form and improvised sound works, moving image, and text, inviting audiences to step outside an object-centric art experience and into these dynamic processes. She is particularly interested in smallnesses, exploding the minutiae of things and ‘writing a lot about a little’. Recently, she has been developing her embodied practice involving vocal (non-verbal and verbal) and bodily performance, responding to feminist mythologies of ‘monstrous’ women, and re-imagining corporeal and empathetic approaches to communication.
