Originating from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, Bernie aka Dj Burntables, has been a trademark crowd pleaser since "Circa 03” at the age of 17. With his overwhelming presence on the Sunshine Coast, he decided to expand his musical influences to Melbourne playing for a number of promoters in the City, St Kilda & Sth Melbourne and then settling into GC life. 

From 19, over a five year period - as the main Promoter and DJ of the 'Epic Lil Night', an underground dance music festival in Byron Bay, based at Belongil Fields. This was unknowingly the start of his passion for culture, music, arts and an extraordinary life. Bernie Burntables brings you some of the most unique flavours of music that you’ve ever experienced, song selection & live mix artistry is not to be missed. A selection of music for his sets is open to all formats, drawing on a broad genre styles and versatility. DJ Burntables has always got his records ready but never set locked in stone, to be assured to elevate the frequency with melodic baselines and unique selections of music. 

Bernie has played and travelled the east coast of Australia & Internationally to the USA & Mexico, being humbled by these experiences have given the opportunity to do what he loves. In the past , being a contribution to all time shows on 105.7 Radio Metro, like Big Bass Party and has been a Radio Metro DJ. 

The name Burntables is inspired by his influences from Hip Hop, Breaks, DnB, G House's & other genres that are influential during his journey. DJ Burntables, projects a wide range of solid influences that have attributed to his music selection. Some of his stronger influences include the Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, Pnau, Plump Dj's, Carl Cox, Bass Kleph, NAPT, Freestylers, Z-Trip, Freq-Nasty, Marten Hørger, Bart-B More, Digitalism, The Crystal Method, Groove Armada, Satoshi Tommi, Miguel Campbell, Kolombo, Sharem Jay, Amnie Edge, Solomon, Mochakk, Chris Lake, Lo’99, Yolanda Be Cool, Rage against the machine, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, The Game, NWA, MF Doom, NAS, Mob Deep, DJ Rectangle, DJ Shadow, Beardyman, Beautiful Girls, Jack Johnson, Masego, Drug Dealer, Thievery Corporation, Herbie Hancock, Big Pun, Chanel Tres’, Jurassic 5, Flowdan, Fred Again, Baker Boy, Saint Lane, Bootleg Rascal, Peach Fur & all the gold from the 70’s,80’s,90’s > 2024. 

DJ ‘Bernie' mainly is adopted to the house music scene internationally in venues like Nikki Beach & WMC Miami. 2012 - 2013, Bernie Burntables bringing his musical influences Internationally, showcasing his unique influences to Mexico & the U.S.A. Highlight in his career was Soltronic Festival (Cabo, San Lucas) Miami WMC (U.S.A), Electric Palms Music Festival (Cabo, San Lucas) , Spring Break (Cabo, San Lucas) Weekend at Bernie’s Australia, has made his presence here on the GC throwing several exclusive Boat Parties; bringing in international acts like all time Breakbeat Lords The Stanton Warriors.

Bernie Burntables has explored the depths of an expandable music career with not only the creation of DJ Burntables, internationally. He has also contributed to many aspects of the Music/Festival culture here in QLD & NSW extending into wide range of roles from, logistics to tour management for all genres having the opportunity to work with some of the most reputable companies in the industry.
