As a sign of solidarity, and an attempt to bring a shimmer of light into the current dark times, Monument has gathered a selection of tracks for a VA compilation. All profits from the release will go to the Norwegian Refugee Council’s fundraising campaign for the people of Ukraine, who need help now.

The diverse musical contributions were created by artists in over ten different countries - spanning from Scotland to Georgia, and Finland to Spain - reflecting the uniting power music can have beyond borders. The release’s sound palette ranges from introspective ambient pieces to dark and broken beats as well as more hopeful timbres.

Guiseppe Tillieci, Gianluca Meloni and Iacopo Sposaro from Enisslab studio have been so generous to offer the mastering for all the tracks. We wish to deeply thank both them and each of the contributing artists for lending their creative energy to this collaborative gesture for peace.

We enjoy discovering original and creative sounds that break away from the music industry norms. Ariet has a distinct approach to crafting music, and we're pleased to host his EP on our label.
The journey to creating this EP took a year. Much like Ariet's other musical pieces, they emerge from his dedicated music production sessions, which he regards as a form of meditation. He graciously shared his perspective with us regarding the core idea and his methodology for bringing this EP to life.

I quite often sit with the intention to be present with the sound, exploring different possibilities of sound design, rhythms, and arrangement. If in this process I capture something that resonates with me and I can feel it has the potential for a tune, I try to explore the idea and the possibility to tell a story with it. I've chosen Deep Questions as I believe a lot in the power of asking the right questions. Those questions can open something within us, and allow us to think and react differently. So I hope listening to those tunes will evoke some new and meaningful questions. And those answers will influence the listener.

@saveyouratollofficial is a project born in 2019 by Italian artist Antonello Meloni based in Sardinia. Deep sound and Techno are his current language that forms the basis of a musical expression rich in ambient and atmospheric elements never forgetting the groove that outline the storytelling.

After the first year dedicated to presentations and recording dozens of podcasts, in 2020 Save Your Atoll starts releasing its own productions, first with a single with strong influences “Burial”, then contributing to the compilation for the 10 years of The Gods Planet with Mediterranea on TGP X, and finally releasing in January 2021 The Universal Pattern, an EP of three self-produced tracks.

Also in 2021 they released El Ritual, Bioma EP and Blind Runners for Fur:ther Sessions (Germany), Limbara on Oslated (Korea), and Body Language for Dosis Records (Chile).

In 2022 several releases followed each other, releasing also for Bahn Rec (Spain) and Space Textures (England), and in the summer he also starts to show up behind the decks. Hired by Basstation, he joins Polygonia, Claudio Prc, Martinou in addition to the residents, while at the end of the year will see the light an EP together with the talented John Plaza on his newborn Linderluft Rec. and the very first track on vinyl on a huge V.A. for Fur:ther Sessions.

The first LP with 12 tracks (digital + vinyl) is out September 1st 2023 with Fur:ther Sessions, and one solo EP for Lotus Parable (digital), along with some singles and remixes.

His tracks have been played both live and included in many podcasts and supported by top underground artists in the scene such as: Richie Hawtin, NESS, Claudio Prc, Eric Cloutier, Ina Kacz, Justine Perry, Blazej Malinowski, Kangding Ray, D-Leria, Rene Wise and many more.

High above the stars, where the wind no longer blows and silence envelops the universe, rises a mountain of angular rock - ancient and lonely in the endless darkness. Its peaks stretch out and touch the light of past suns. It listens to the whispers of distant galaxies and the mesmerising cosmic storms that Re:Axis brings to our ears.

José Diogo Correia aka Re:Axis started his journey in sound at young age, perceiving the vibrations from acoustic and electronic instruments as a tool to create space and travel within. He has released music and toured the world since 2006. It was the year he set the love intentions to share, connect and get inspired through energy and frequencies. All the experience and maturity acquired over the past makes him a unique artist of the dance music scene, whose musical development we have been following for a long time. So we are more than delighted to have the chance to host him and his music on our imprint. 

Re:Axis provides us with a mix that skilfully combines repetitive, hypnotic patterns with mystical and cosmic atmospheres, all underlined with a special psychedelic twist. He stays true to his name and manifests a real sound mantra - a steady movement around a central axis that is constantly changing and yet remains stable. The music becomes a rotation, a trance, a journey that leads both into the inner self and into the boundless outer space.
