Loud Forest is Rachel and Bernard Chadwick. Based in Los Angeles, Loud Forest is the culmination of two strong willed humans, equally matched as singers and performers. Bernard and Rachel have two very different styles of songwriting - Bernard is direct and angular, Rachel is abstract and experimental. It is in the studio collaborating with other talented musicians that the pieces come together in a way that is a mix of rock, minimal art noise, and gospel.

LOUD FOREST: BIO

The Los Angeles based band Loud Forest is fronted by married couple Bernard and Rachel Chadwick.  Equally matched as singers and performers, they craft an eclectic mix of songs that can both swirl and drive, loud minimal rock drums and ruckus melodic singing is supported by electric guitars, textures and noises that create a sonic landscape while infusing classic folk and gospel elements.  Songs on the forth-coming album range from moody shoe-gaze to grass-roots communal rock n’ roll. All the while giving a nod to personal influences such as Spoon, The Pixies, Arcade Fire and Sonic Youth.


Album Bio:
Bernard and Rachel have two completely different styles of song writing, Rachel is abstract and experimental, and Bernard is direct, minimal and angular. It is in the studio collaborating with other talented musicians, Alex Strahle, Carlen Walth, and Steve Wilmot that the pieces come together in a way that is a mix of rock, minimal art and elements of gospel.  Their studio is a creative project space in historic Pasadena where art events and music collaborations coexist, this makes for a studio that is always changing and influencing the forthcoming album in different ways.
