Loud Harp's Sophmore record, Asaph, approaches similar topics to their debut, but from a higher viewpoint. No longer songs from the bottom of the pit, these are the songs of a people ascending the hill of the Lord. A people in awe of God's greatness - a people with a new focus.

Twice Removed is a spectral mirror held up to family, memory, and misremembered melody. It's an album of covers that doesn't simply replay—it reinterprets, unsettles, and estranges. Familiar tracks are slowed, detuned, and reimagined through analog tape hiss, distant harmony, and ghost-choir atmospheres. Each song feels like it was recovered from an attic cassette or an abandoned answering machine.

Lion Of Judah was recorded through the Centre, the building Westside Church calls home.  I wanted to make much use of the natural reverbs within the building.  The opening piano was recorded in one of the large tile bathrooms using binaural techniques to place you right in the seat of the player.  In the last instrumental section the melody is carried by the sound of drums sticks on an upright in that same bathroom.  And the massive toms at the end were recorded in a large exit stairwell, which gave us an the perfect long reverb tail.  Visit my Instagram to see video of recording these elements.
