Hola,

here's a closing set I played after Mathias Kaden at Harry Klein. Unfortunately it was not recorded but thanks to rekordbox, I got the history from my USB. Yeehee! So I made a 2h reissue of the set, even though the mood and the crowd cannot simply be reproduced of course. ;)

I tried to catch the vibe of that night, made some tweaks here and there and even put a little encore at the end. The set starts quite energetic and slowly descends into trippy & spheric dimensions without losing a sense of euphoria throughout! (You know me) And of course it's pretty genrefluid, as always :)

Louis EMP and me hereby present the second part of our AllNightLong Session at our beloved Home Garry Klein (19/04/23). The second Part started right after the Drag Show and took off with high energy tunes, followed by a sexy and wild ride for the next two hours. In the end we played more trippy & spacial sounds to hopefully change our dancers mindset. We thank everyone who joined us for this truly blissfull night! Was probably our last b2b at old Harry Klein... to be continued!

Louis EMP ist Mitbegründer der Partyreihe PERRAS und Resident DJ der queeren Clubnacht Garry Klein. Geprägt durch New-Wave-, Krautrock- und Punk-Einflüsse in seiner Kindheit, liegt Louis‘ Hauptaugenmerk auf der Darstellung der psychedelischen, trippigen und zeitlosen Facetten elektronischer Musik. Ohne an ein bestimmtes Genre oder Tempo gebunden zu sein, sind seine Sets das Ergebnis einer leidenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit der Musik. Der Fokus von Louis EMP liegt auf der Entwicklung außergewöhnlicher Atmosphären. Für diesen Mix ging er tief in seine Liebe zur House-Musik ein, kombiniert mit interessanten Texturen aus Progressive- und Tribal-Elementen, glasiert mit schillernden Schichten von Ambient.

Recording of my opening set on Feb 7th 2024 at Garry Klein x Rote Sonne from 22-1 o' clocko. Started slow & mellow and pushed soft throttle around the 1 hour mark as the dancefloor was gradually filling up. From there on: euphoric spaced out & psychedelic bits to reach early frenzy states just as the drag show was around the corner. One of my favs so far, hope you enjoy too! :^)

Opening Set @ Garry Klein x Rote Sonne (07/02/2024)

Very happy to share this set I played at Rote Sonne for Garry Klein on September 4th from 1-5 in the morning. Turned out to be a very energetic, fun and trippy blend of late 90's, early 2000's Progressive House, lots of Tribal stuff, contemporary (Tech-)House interpretations and some Techno here & there. Towards the end I wanted to go a bit deeper but also spice it up with some happy bits. Even though the evening was not ram-packed, I really enjoyed the overall vibe and all the open minded dancers who made this a special one until the very end <3 Unfortunately the last 30 minutes were cut off the recording but maybe it was meant to stay in the moment :^) hope you enjoy!

Louis EMP (he/him) - originally from Munich, now based in Augsburg - is one of the co-founders of the party series PERRAS. He is a resident DJ of the queer club night Garry Klein, which is taking place regularly at Rote Sonne. Shaped through New Wave, Krautrock and Trip Hop influences in his childhood, Louis‘ main focus lies on showcasing the psychedelic, trippy and timeless facets of electronic music. Without being attached to a single genre or pace, his sets are the outcome of passionate music digging.
In clubs he usually contributes interesting mixtures of Progressive, Tech- and Tribal-House, sprinkled with celestial layers of Ambient, Dub and Acid. Louis EMP constantly strives for the development of extraordinary atmospheres and surprise moments. While always being in exchange with audiences, his distinct sense for the right energy sends listeners on a journey between hypnosis and ecstatic frenzy.
For this ""Pancake Enorme"" mix though Louis selected tracks that he couldn't play out in clubs so far but has an interest in nonetheless. The result is a fast paced and euphoric journey suited for listening in the car or on long train rides. Also it's his first attempt ever at combining Breaks, IDM and Garage-ish tunes – most of them containing Ambient and some Dubby elements – to a homogenous yet diverse mixtape while still containing a dynamic suspense curve. His primary goal was to create a fun and trippy set – sprinkled with delicious twists & turns – which puts his interest in the music he typically plays at clubs in a new context. Endschoii!

It's been a while...
This one arose in the night of Christmas Eve. I think this year's Christmas felt rather bleak, yet somehow magical. The mix which resulted is quite moody while still conveying kind of a club-ish, spheric, trippy, psychedelic aesthetic - evolving over time, peaking at the half and slowly decreasing in energy until the end. So basically this is a mix you can dance to, when you are at home alone, can't go outside and no one's watching (Except the stranger who is always watching, as you know) or you can just listen to it in the background.
Lalala that's it, maybe you like it. Maybe no one will ever read this, idk.
