What it doooo, I'm a recording artist from the island of St.Maarten.
Currently Studying in Montreal, I'm also a producer and an engineer. 


Louis Lepine, better known by his stage name Louis LeTreez, is a rapper and producer from St.Maarten. 
Growing up on such a diverse island has helped LeTreez emerge as a rapper who stands out. Louis is an artist before anything; and rapping is just one of his many styles. He can go from hardcore rapping like Biggie, to more new school orientated music such as Drake, and Tory Lanez. He has also shown to be very capable in venturing into full out dancehall inspired tracks where he can really let out his raw St.Maarten accent. Louis has travelled from Canada to Los Angeles where people were always surprised by his music and his workflow. It has also given him the blessing to know that he has finally reached a stage where he has the level to make a career out of his passion if he is willing to continue pushing in the right direction. In this time and age, Louis is aware that as a French Caucasian artist, he has to come prepared and work twice as hard as anybody who wants to take his spot. He loves it, and takes it as a challenge.

Since the young age of 16, Louis has been heavily influenced by the likes of Rakim, Big L, Masta Ace, and Kool g rap; all prominent rappers from the 90?s Era. Once he was able to fully get down the basics of structured rap and the art of flowing, he then looked up to more recent rap artists to such as Travis Scott, Drake, Russ, and Logic. 

Given that the costs to record music professionally is not free and demands a lot of knowledge, for the past year Louis has been dedicated to teaching himself mixing and, as well as making beats. Therefore, he now records and engineers everything by himself. ?What?s great about this,? He said, ?is that I now have full control over my sound, I don?t need to wait on anybody for anything. I can make a hit by myself at home.?

After this summer, Louis? next step is enrolling in a professional recording school to fine tune his talents as an artist and musical engineer.
His goal is to make it worldwide and be self-sufficient. He will then be able to come back to St.Maarten and open affordable musical establishments for the upcoming generation, which will really help them to get ahead in the music world and follow their passion. 

Louis LeTreez has been rapping for over 8 years, and plans to make a career out of it. 
He welcomes anyone who wants to learn a few things about music, or even if they want to make a living out of their dream. He was once in that position as well, young with no knowledge but was hungry to learn!
 Louis wakes up with one specific quote in his head everyday, ?The master has failed more times than the newbie has tried.? He assures everyone that this type of mindset can take you a very long way!
