We wanted to start this new year in the best way we can.
For make this we decided to welcome in our rooster the italian stallion @christian_lisco .
Fetishist and purist of analog gear he makes his business from his dope studio in Bari making music with a lot of different names but with his unmistakable sound and feeling.
He released on label like @hardmoonlondon , @la_chinerie and @paramountcityrecords .
This time he decided to serve loads of distorted drum and acid bass lines accompanied by soul vocal samples for us.
The EP incl. a remix from the mysterious (maybe italian too?!) High Density System who offers a totally new atmosphere of the track but with the same raw feeling.

The release will be available from the start of March in a limited series of 300 hand stamped vinyl.

Guided by yet another of La Cheetah Club’s family members, Alfie leads us through the third Outer Zone with four homage laden techno cuts, all obliquely or otherwise brushing past centre-points of styles within the genre. Having proven himself as a producer capable of making serious dancefloor cuts as @theburrellconnection, this new moniker sees the Perth native coagulate sounds usually heard during the energetic moments before the always impending end of the night. Each track stems from influences or creative bursts entirely different from the last, with the EP opening to a lovingly crafted tribute to giants and ending with something drawn from wider sources of inspiration rendered singular. ‘Plastic Entertainment’ is anything but artificial, made with the direct intention of shaking walls and eyeballs.

An endless scroll, an infinite lifetime of pointless images and meaningless nothing. From time to time a notification would flicker and bubble in the corner of the screen - a red alert with little to no urgent emphasis in the slightest. This was IG Messenger, a world of the unknown and a burden upon men and women of the modern age. When would it ever end? All that was left was a quick break from the machines, a period of sleep and rest away from the flashing lights and the distant drag of endless media. 

Eliphino is set to release a new EP on Secretsundaze, a personal affair with poignant meaning attached. The production is exquisite and intricate, the tracks sprawling and layered to perfection. This one comes highly recommended.

"As a collective, record label, and most importantly as human beings, we have always, and always will, stand against any form of racism and social inequality.

We are a group of white men who grew up feeling inspired and driven by black culture, and owe most of what we are to it.

We were born and raised in one of the most historically racist countries ever - Italy - where sadly, beyond the surface, things haven't changed much over the past seventy years: POC and minorities in general are heavily discriminated on a daily basis, citizenship is still not automatically granted to migrants’ sons and daughters born here and their communities are constantly targeted by law enforcement and racist organizations.
Soumaila Sacko, Abdul Salam Guibre, Emmanuel Chidi, Samb Modou and Diop Mor are just few of the many victims of racial murders that took place here in the last ten years.

The country, system, and culture we live in mould us to accept forms of hate that should've been erased years ago: that is exactly what we should fight.
Not only explicit racist acts, yet anything that fuels or normalizes them.

That being said, we acknowledge that we are privileged and will never fully understand what it means to be a victim. But we are listening, learning and willing to step up.

Everybody knows someone who should hear this. Now it's time to have that conversation.

Following the events happened around the world over the past few weeks, Funclab Records has decided to take action.

We reached out to a community of artists, and friends. People we have met along the way with whom we have created a connection free of gender, color or religion gaps, joining forces to step up using the tool we know best, music.
