In light of Borealis' debut album "Voidness" two collections of 4 remixes each will be coming out both digitally and as limited edition transparent/black splatter 12"s. 

"Lovewarm" is first in line and there's no better time for it's highly anticipated release than February 14th aka Valentine's Day. 

Heavyweights Henry Saiz and Hecq are stepping up to the occasion with two stellar contributions accompanied by two of our very own future alumni, Dual Shaman and Aebeloe. Having no reference point in original versions, this release will hopefully put the spotlight on it's contributors while building up some excitement towards the album release.

The fifth collection of "Voidness" remixes assembles some of the most light-hearted reworks to date. Opening up with Kitkaliitto's delicate take on NOTR, "Glowbrick" browses through the many faces of four-to-the-floor modern electronic music ranging from Ghostek's "warehouse techno" edit of "To Hear Her Burial", Thomas Bjerring's summery vision of the otherwise dark "Crimson Purple" and last but not least, Morris Cowan's trademark quirkiness applied to perfection on one of Voidness' anthems, "Womb".

Why another compilation-series if we have plenty of sources for the insatiable music spotter, let alone that presumably every second person seems to be a well-informed DJ? Well, Emerald Dreams surely is a collection of single tracks that you may want to add to your DJ-set, but if you listen to the continuous mix, it rather tells a story of various characters and moodswings. The tunes have been selected to contribute to the talents of the artists, regardless of stylistic boundaries or difference in colour. As selectors, go nogo a.k.a. Eric Schemer & Fred Scholl obviously love the English idea of mesh culture as well as they are suspicious of puristic boredom. This exposition also gives an idea about the wide range of styles which Emerald Dreams are made of. You may also consider this first selection as an introduction of some artists with whom Emerald & Doreen Recordings will work in the near future. Somewhere between the euphoric pop of Kylie Minogue, the sparse minimalism of Young Marble Giants and the stark electronica of The xx, Victoria and Jacob's lush and ethereal Italo-disco sound draws upon classic pop tunes, drenched in hazy synths and entwined with Victoriaʼs sweet vocal cuts. Their new 7" "Festival" is due to be released on WIAIWYA and Fika Recordings in May.

"Festival" is the dream pop soundtrack to your summer, fusing their beatific sounds with hints of melancholia and reflection. Brimming with the atmosphere of warm summer evenings, Victoria and Jacob offer a take on dance music that will melt your heart.

Victoria and Jacob are Victoria Harrison and Jacob Mayfield, who met in Cambridge whilst at University studying Creative Music and Sound Technology. They started out as a folk duo and then went from folk-tronica to a fully electronic lineup. After studying and teaming up at Uni to work on a variety of projects (such as interactive sound installations as well as sound for computer games and laptop composition) they decided to move to London to focus on the band. They soon had a Radar spot in the NME and landed themselves a single with Voga Parochia Records.

Theyʼve so far enjoyed radio play from Steve Lamacq, Jon Hillcock and Tom Robinson and garnered critical acclaim from NME, Artrocker and Time Out. Their music has also been used for Vogue Japanʼs latest TV campaign.

They spent the summer of 2012 recording their debut album, produced by Oliver Price (Landshapes, Emmy the Great, Lucy Rose), which is due for release in August 2013 by WIAIWYA and Fika Recordings.
