Harald Stenström is a Free improviser since 1974. Educated in music theory, arranging, composing and conducting. Assistant professor at the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg. PhD on the Thesis "Free Ensemble Improvisation". Mission:
In 2008 the duo Performart is born, an eclectic formation that takes back a no-new concept, that is that the music, since universal communicative language, wouldn’t belong to any style, but it has life and proper identity, therefore, you can be express through yourself, without pre-manufacturing, but very simply making yourself available, risking youself and your own musical experiences, sharing external and internal moments of life, so that the musicians themselves becomes "tools", favoring the musical flow, the energy of the sound and the creativeness that is expressed through of them.

...when personal creativeness meets other cultures, here it is born a new world of sounds and images  ...a new language

The rhythms funk contaminated by the European melodies, the particular sonorities of guitars and basses riff, treated with several effects, the grim of the rhythmics, percussions, loops and the accompaniments, they create an unique groove, that, as a train on the railroad, crosses a whole continent.
Bolero, funk, salsa, rock, reggae, pop, tango, jazz, bossa, latin, waltz and other, are some of the stations in which the train will transit and will effect a small contemplative standstill, the everything rigorously improvised and invented in the same instant in which you will feel it.

Nel 2008 nasce il duo Performart, una formazione eclettica che riprende un concetto non nuovo, cioè che la musica, in quanto linguaggio comunicativo universale, potrebbe non appartenere a nessun cliches, a nessun stile specifico,  ma ha vita e identità propria,  quindi, puo essere espressa attraverso se stessi, senza pre-confezionare nulla, ma molto semplicemente mettendosi a disposizione, mettendo in gioco se stessi e le proprie esperienze musicali, condividendo momenti di vita esteriori e interiori, in modo che i musicisti stessi diventino degli “strumenti” favorendo il flusso musicale, l’energia del suono e della creatività che si esprima attraverso di essi.

...quando la creatività personale incontra altre culture, ecco che nasce un mondo di suoni e immagini nuovo ...un nuovo linguaggio...

Suggestioni, interazione, voci e ritmi contribuiscono a creare questo "unico suono", che porta alla luce l'emozione più profonda e nascosta, l'anima di ognuno di noi e dell'ensemble. 

I ritmi funk contaminati dalle melodie europee, le sonorità particolari di chitarre e bassi trattati con effetti vari, la grinta della ritmica, delle percussioni e dei loop e gli accompagnamenti, creano un groove unico, che, come un treno sulla ferrovia, attraversa un intero continente.
Bolero, funk, salsa, rock, reggae, pop, tango, jazz, bossa, latin, waltzer e altro, sono alcune delle stazioni in cui il treno transiterà ed effettuerà una piccola sosta contemplativa, il tutto rigorosamente improvvisato e inventato nell'istante preciso in cui lo sentirete.
