One reason we started our FjordFest Podcast was to stay connected with each other despite being spread all over the planet. Whilst on our journeys we sometimes cross paths with like minded souls who share our passion of music and love. The path of one of our recent Fjord Brothers (Robin Dey) brought him to Bender Bar in Berlin, where he and a few other Fjord DJs ended up on the birthday of one very special and talented Artist... Daensens eclectic sets take you on a travel through time and space with occasional stops at some of the many mysterious places on our planet. We feel blessed to present you with one of his magical pieces for our 8th FjordFest Podcast...

Deep sampled based oldschool strings & rhodes layered with a unique vocal theme and a sweeping breakdown turn this track into an emotional future classic tune. 
A dancefloor driven remix with an incredible piano hook comes from the legend Tony Lionni.
His massive anthem Found A Place, released by the Berghain based label Ostgut Ton was voted as one of the top classic house tracks of the decade.
Further releases have been for Defected, Madhouse Records and many more.

After his release „Won’t let go“ remixed by the legendary Tony Lionni, Achilles & One is back for launching some disco rockets with his new single called „Alive“. 
80ies synths, funky guitar licks, talking vocals and a unique sample based saxophone hook will kick ass on the dance-floors while keeping the disco spirit alive. 
Our friend Pete Herbert gives a proper balearic twist to the original. His signature discoid synth lines and funky brass adds will keep everybody united under the ball.

For our second episode, we proudly present to you Daniel Steinfels. 

A DJ and Producer from Pforzheim, Germany that has releases on labels such as Neuzeit from Munich, Deep Electronics and Kollektiv LieBe e.V.

In 2015, he founded his own label Tonal., that showcases artists like Landhouse & Raddantze, Xanducero Yolanda Frei and Alaix Pulse. In the Summer of 2018,  Daniel will release a Compilation with tracks from Landhouse, Yolanda Frei, Christian Hülshoff, DISCOSHAMAN, Deep Ändi, Nijland Gerstenberg, Lütt Matten and many more Artists.

On this set, he delivers an exquisite performance that ranges from intelligent melodic techno to  downtempo-ambient gems. 

Kollektiv Liebe is dedicated to electronic music and boisterous celebration. Together, the association plans spacey events like the past Galactronica in the Fleischmarkthalle. There was not only techno and love but also art to see. The members talk about the socially distorted image of the scene, what is important to them in celebration, and why we all should embrace each other more often on the dance floor.

Tension triggering dubbed chords response to rolling afro drum patterns, while featuring the main vocal in a four to the floor setting.

Buried in a groove obviously coming from the 90s house & disco scene ACHILLES & ONE comprising Jonas Gorke is definitely someone to keep an eye on. As one of Munich house label Love Harder Record’s first signing & after the release of his house anthems Live Together, Won't Let Go and Something  incl. international remixes by Tony Lionni, Mighty Mouse & Pete Herbert, A&O is ready to present his own taste of house & disco including soulful vocals & signature drum patterns, surrounded by an instantly rising musical deepness.

In a city, whose club and music culture breathes the spirit of the disco era more than any other in Europe, producers and label owners more than elsewhere feel obliged to guide the great legacy into a glorious present and future, supplying a unique level of quality and innovative spirit. A work ethic that’s affectionately being taken care of both in the overall vision and the small details. 

Equipped with years of music business experience and united by an equally long friendship the Munich based duo of Alex Mallios and Nick Bader made their dream come true in 2012 by founding the connoisseur indie label Love Harder. Their common goal: to release a few but stylishly selected tracks and thereby enrich the genre they always have been fans of themselves: house music. In all its facets. And all its possibilities.

The start for Love Harder couldn’t have been better: releases by signings such us Achilles & One, Guardate, Alex Mallios and Leo Kane not only garnered euphoric reviews, they regularly found their way into the upper regions of various genre charts.

But despite the great (media) feedback, the commercial success and inevitable label expansion the Love Harder-makers never lose sight of their original vision: to share the music they love with as many like-minded people as possible. Und to pass on the inspiration they repeatedly drew from the sounds in the clubs of their hometown of Munich.
