He will guide your prayers if you give them to him, and in doing so remove the cloudedness of preconception that we in our natural selves develop and judge others from. He breaks through that and a greater sense and purpose is revealed; a sense beyond the knowable, rational world in which we live; a sense that is so rooted in love that without the living water it cannot grow. Compassion flows outward and is able to change the world, firstly by turning to God and asking him to change it; and then asking 'Lord, am I the one to change this?'. With the increasing visibility of global suffering, as well as global 'success', we cannot retreat from the world, but are called to ask God to change it, and to follow his commands. His 'voice' is the sweetest sense, seeping into the world from where we cannot tell, but that it lives like a flame in a fire.
