The pair met in Mexico, and the kindred spirits immediately hit it off. After bouncing versions back and forth between Siracusa and also a studio in Paris, the final version was realized, full of floaty Rhodes chords and cavaquinho thrills that will lighten any dance.

Coming off a run of singles and an LP on Ubiquity Records, UK DJ/Producer Tigerbalm (aka Rose Robinson) brings her vibrant global sound to the RNT catalog with the Nina EP. Of the two original songs that grace the A side, Nina is a pulsing boogie affair with driving percussion, catchy chants and punctuating sax, and Sisters is shows a more balearic side of tropical with African guitar work and lilting soulful vocals. The B-side sees two distinct remix takes on the title track, the first by RNT regular Elado who bumps up the tempo for a stomping acidic club mix, and Voilaaa who transforms the song into a driving and authentic classic Zouk arrangement. The latest transmission from the Lumberjacks stable taps up London-based producer Alan Dixon, who tackles a soul-stirring gospel belter from Frank Booker on the A side. Whatever your spiritual persuasion, "Rise & Shine" can't help but inject a little joy into your life. On the flip, Dixon turns the piano house power up to 11 with the life-affirming thrust of "Whatcha Gonna Do", featuring Maleke O'Ney on vocal duties. Completing the set, Lumberjacks head honcho Marcel Vogel drops in a remix that twists the original into a loose and limber jazz-funk-house odyssey of epic proportions.

The second release on Alan Dixon’s Love Attack label comes from the man himself, delivering a dreamy new EP entitled 'Night Time Melodies’.

Following high-profile releases on Gerd Janson's Running Back and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Alan moves to his deeper side kicking things off with ’Night Time Melodies’ - an infectious piano house workout that sees super-slick keys dance elegantly around a chuggy, bumping bassline and beautifully resonant synth licks. Once again demonstrating his unfaltering ability to craft alluring, feel-good dance music Alan offers up a slice of sun-drenched optimism.

The track also receives a groove-tinged remix from Kiko Navarro moving things into the main room. Punchy snares and shuffling hats set a footwork-provoking rhythm underneath energetic, stabbing piano chords, with Navarro gradually working in a delectable wobbling acid line ramping up the energy for a sense-tingling, euphoric re-work.

The release is backed up by 'Tell Me When’, a modern-sounding club track to be heard in places such as Berlin's Panorama Bar. Pillared by an irresistible bassline, Alan lays down a dusty kick-hat pattern, punctured by ecstatic claps and engulfed in a plethora of scintillating synths.
