This is a studio recording of my set on 02/01/2020 at 1up in Reno with Golf Clap.  I went back a few years into my library and dug up some of my favorites to mix with some new digs. I love the vibe music like this creates on the dance floor!  I'll keep searching for the funk forever, enjoy! ❤️

Bring That Back

A deep house dj set in time for the warm weather. The mix is 9 1/2 hours of grooviness. A day long soundscape of lush ambient, deep melodic house and breakbeat.

I’ve always wanted to program a set like this, letting the transitions breathe, slowly building until it’s a late night vibe, choosing music that hopefully stands the test of time. It was for sure a labour of love. It will be great for all these spring and summer days ahead! It's in four parts on Soundcloud. Recorded live and unedited April 18, 2020.

The "rapture" has often been hijacked by evangelicals to mean the end of time, but I prefer to believe in its initial definition of "a feeling of intense pleasure of joy." As we reach sixth week of quarantine, we are confronted with our sense of isolation, and it is getting harder each day.  We can't forget that this is all temporary, and that somewhere at the end of this road lies some sort of rapture.  This set was recorded in my bedroom to celebrate the birthdays of Nikki and Piper.
